You can never be sure of government schemes. I lost out on installation aid when it was pulled just before I took over. And unfairness has always been there. I had 30,000 gallons quota in my name then and the minister brought out the 44,000 gallons free quota to new entrants in milk. So they had this extra quota and mise had to pay back superlevy for two years after quotas going. And they never milking a cow up to then on the pigs back. You'd have to accept it or it'd sting you forever.
Granted others may have had a different path and ride in farming.
final leg of the journey- Heathrow flight delayed by 15 minutes.
So from second we left house in Perth to projected arrival time at home- it will be 32 hours.
the 6yo passed out in the pub at Heathrow. 4yo still going but getting grizzly. holiday over- slurry going out tomorrow and hoping to start gathering the turf too.,
Would superlevy not go when quotas went.
Two years after quotas went you were still paying the superlevy bill for the last year of quotas.
Quota was just unobtainable in glanbia the last few years of quota. It was easier go over quota in the years prior as their was no superlevy. But in the years prior to quota going everyone was gearing up for quotas going and supply went over quota nationally so anyone that was getting by before got stung with superlevy. There was leeway shown to small suppliers but that disappeared in those few years before quota finally went.
Why is there no ads on rte1 between programmes or during ad breaks?
Why is there no ads during ad breaks?
A bit young to be passing out in a pub. 😀
Ye there's just a thing on the screen saying programs will resume shortly. You'd think the ads would bring in revenue?
Technical glitch?
Last time I seen that Maurice O'Doherty was reading the news.
No it's been like that a few days. Tbh I dont watch tv much atm cause I'm normally away but the last few times, during the news it came up. Even the bit between the news and the westher when the glanbia ad used to be on has it up
Daft question maybe, but are you watching on Player?
No on dodgy box. There's ads now but not earlier during the 6 o clock news and a few other times
the image i met when the eldest and I came back from the toilets.
Hi Albert you'll pick up online a 50 litre one of a reputable enough brand for under the 200 euro I use mine regularly
Albert, have an abac compressor here since I don't know when. I think it's 150L. I paid €200 for it on an auction. It used to run air tools in a joiners workshop before I bought it 2nd hand and I have it years. Last 5 years its on the feeders in the parlour. A great little machine.
I see he’s heading for the courts again on a dangerous driving charge this time. Apparently driving over 150km/h on a 100km/h stretch of road.
What a fine upstanding citizen he is. The decent people of Limerick most be highly disgusted to have this lad represent them on their team.
Any of ye with store cattle coughing & if so what did ye dose with?
@whelan2
Do you know the delightful Peter "Badger" Bannon? A fine upstanding individual by the look of things 😄.
Edit
For anyone wondering what I'm mumbling about, there is a video online of a draw being done for all Ireland tickets by Louth referees. It needs to be looked at to be believed.

Started with the heifers about 6 days ago and the bullocks only in the past day. Dosed the heifers yesterday with albex. Small touch of coughing with the the bucket fed calves so gave them their first dose and shot of blackleg. Made sure to have enough vaccine to give the booster in 4 weeks time. Anyone going vaccinating, make sure to get enough to do the booster before doing anything. The vaccine is hard got this year. Coops are out of it here and just enough out of the vets
The coughing just came on very quick
The evidence has emerged
Just noticed yeatarday moving them to fresh grass, they were moved further away last week & not a cough out of them
’The fine upstanding people of Limerick’ I wonder would they be offended by that photo? As for Tipperary people I was watching a bit of the Tour de France doing a downhill on the Pyrenees, they tipped 104 km/hr. When Sean Kelly was doing it he tipped 124 kn/hr. Some speed on a bike.
It has just taken off with the bit of humidity in the air aswell. Would be worthwhile dosing them as the year has been tough on stock. Even if you only get an extra weight gain of 0.1kg/hd/day for an extra 2 weeks it will help greatly and will have covered the time and cost of the dose.
👍
That's the plan this evening, they can go back into a grazed out paddock for 24hrs after & let them pass whatever they have b4 moving on again
Good idea to leave the back for a few days. Doesn't always work out but worthwhile aiming for it
Best player Limerick have by a country mile. Cork took him out of the game for 50 minutes and got far enough ahead to sneak the win.
Thats why he can't be dropped
So they wouldn’t have won without him, but they obviously didn’t win with him either meaning the result would have been the same with or without him?
He's the best player they have that's why he's not dropped
Jasus 150 isn't too bad really great player I think some of the Dublin players were far bigger thugs and got away with it easier
