One more sleep till tickets go on sale.
Campervan passes for ATN are not physical like EP ones.
Ah yes, you're right, cheers. They all blur into one over the years.
I found it's best to ask the individual traders as some were more than happy to accept cash.
Yeah some of the smaller food stalls would only take cash last year (not sure if they were meant to be accepting only cash)
Looking forward to Roisin Murphy, she's great live. Perfect time and stage for her too.
Any idea when ticketmaster release the campervan tickets at all? Anybody?
September last year.
Question related to undercover arrests that people were discussing in the 2023 thread. If gardai were to stop you and find you with an illicit substance at ATN, how do they confirm your identity?
If you had say a phone but no ID / bank card etc, how would they know you're not giving a fake name etc? All thoughts welcome
You'd prob be in more trouble for giving a false identity and being caught then just being caught with a small amount of whatever.
I heard they were pretty heavy handed last year, didn't see it myself but several friends were searched (with nothing on them) for little to no reason was strange. Saw them wandering through the camps on the lookout too.
I guess they can detain you pending satisfactory proof of your identity. Giving a false name is only likely to make the situation worse as it's a seperate offence.
They'll just execute you on the spot, happened to a few I know last year. RIP
Can anyone remember when the Thursday entertainment was announced last year? Id be expecting a little more this year seen as it's open to everyone, but also possibly not seen as there's no extra charge this year.
I wonder are organisers a bit worried about traffic issues with the attempt to get a good portion of the crowd on site by Thursday evening?
I can't recall an actual announcement for Thursday as such. Really hoping there's some DnB on Arcadia like last year, great night's entertainment.
Yeah I'd assume something in Arcadia and bandstand possibly.
The traffic plan the last 2 years has been spot on, I've breezed in both years on the Friday around 2pm. Hopefully same this year, isn't capacity same as last year?
I saw somewhere, either on their website, or on their Instagram, that they will have acts on the Bandstand and also the Hidden Sounds stage, or at least I'm 95% sure I saw that somewhere.
I'm going down on the Thursday, will take my time getting set up, and have yoga, a massage and a sauna booked for the Friday morning!!
Quite a different experience to being stuck in traffic and carting all my sh!te in and putting up tents etc.
Can't wait!
I saw that as well, I think on Instagram. Some stuff on the band stand. Was DnB at Arcadia last year. As a lover of DnB I enjoyed it thoroughly, was a great warm up for the weekend!
We'll be wrapping on the gates at 4pm on Thursday, sooner if they let us in. Only way to fly.
Last year was extremely OTT. one of our group caught coming in and I went up to wait for him and was there were 4 dogs catching someone every 2 mins
Was ridiculous
I breezed through myself the last two years, I suppose there could be other reasons, a possible increase of capacity, different layouts for car parks etc.
I think they were released on the Ticketmaster app the week of ATN last year.
I just checked and it says on my campervan ticket for this year - “Your barcode will display 3 days before the event”.
Would anybody have a copy of last year’s site map. This is my first ATN and while I have a lovely itinerary all worked out I have no idea if it’s feasible because I’ve no idea where the stages are. Would really appreciate it if at all possible.
Thnka.
This was posted a few pages back.
This is the planning map, you can see the various areas marked though some of them are not labelled
This is my effort at labelling the unlabelled areas. Ping pong, ealu le gra and Arcadia are off to the top left of this shot in the larger pdf. Im not sure if hidden sounds is in the woods near the circle or somewhere else.
Its a pretty nice arena to get around if the weather holds up and youre not trying to get directly from ElG or Arcadia to the Main Stage.
Nowhere is more than a few minutes walk so I wouldn't really worry about planning time to move between stages. The main arena can be bit hard on the legs when tired on a Sunday if your rushing in the direction of the main stage as it's a slope upwards.
And they're inching it further away every year 😅
This was a major buzz kill for me last year. Have been going to festivals since Homelands / Witnness and have never seen the likes. Really hope they lighten their touch for 2024 and beyond ✌️
Thanks for the maps and the useful comments, really appreciated
