And to re-iterate... the shooter was a registered Republican and a gun nut. The political language he was exposed to was Trumps hate. So if any politicians and media are to blame, look to the right and far right. The answer lies there or in a personal or apolltical motive.
I believe he certainly wasn't a republican of a Trump supporter, I believe he was of the same train of thought of those that believe Trump is Hitler.
So ya imo he is aligned with the left, he certainly didn't shoot at Trump because he loved him.

The shooter was a gun nut, conservative, registered Republican. Seems reasonable that he was more exposed to Trump's (hateful) messaging accordingly, if he was paying any attention to the media.

From what I have read, he has quite the education on his CV but I would question the calibre of his education or at least his knowledge of history if he thinks Trump is like Hitler. However, since those comments were written before he was a fan of Trump he potentially was just making the point that he doesn’t know whether to row in behind Trump or go against him, as there are extremes that think Trump is genuinely some sort of saviour to “America” and those that think he is like Hitler; both are the views of the ignorant.
For the record I don't think that Trump is Hitler. However, I'll repeat what I said again and in caps for the slow learners here. I'll even put it in bold and italicise it.

What hateful messaging in the media are you referring to? Considering he shot at Trump, he clearly wasn’t a fan but the media and celebrities who have been spouting violent rhetoric against Trump the last 8 years probably made it seem like it wouldn’t be such a bad thing to see some harm come to Trump. Attacking him at the ballot box isn’t a strong enough message for the Democrats.
Saying that there has been “far more” attempts at republicans than democrats might be a bit of an exaggeration. There is a slight tendency for more Republican presidents and candidates, but not by much.
Your just back tracking now. Just admit its a ridiculous comparison and a dangerous one and you have now been shown how so.
