FYI all : Special Speed Limit on Carlow National Secondary Roads will come into effect on the 18th of December 2025 introducing a speed limit of 80kph in the rural areas for mechanically propelled vehicles on the national secondary roads, the N80 and N81, within the jurisdiction of Carlow County Council. Cannot understand why this was not done sooner on the Leigh Bends.
Brass Monkey
Is there any barber in Carlow town that does a good hot towel shave. TIA,

It’s 2024 and some people still don’t know the difference between migrants, immigrants and refugees.
The army is taking over security for the immigrants
I see toughers pub was painted military green, are they expecting something!!
Sold to Ewings AFAIK.
Unless someone buys it, yes
Is it closing down completely?
I see wetherspoons is closing next month
Still no compulsory purchase of the biggest and arguably longest derelict building in what used to the the prime real estate street, Crottys.
Interesting to see the amount of compulsory purchase orders the council have put out in recent weeks, one opposite the Clink and another one for that abandoned garage across from the Court House and there is nearly one at least in the Nationalist every week. Maybe the new County Manager has put the boot in to try and get a few things done. Hopefully they can then be sold for sites for homes or renovated by the Council.
Anyone know the number of a reliable handyman in Carlow town to do a few small jobs?
Thats an oldish post on Reddit, but the machine has been taken off line last week, I was in there early this morning and it was still offline. Best to use in door machines at the bank these generic cash machine cant be trusted…Image Credit: All About Carlow

My friend has a golden retriever young dog that he can't manage anymore, is there anywhere people would recommend to bring it
looks like another tanning place was burnt out last night. This time in the Fairgreen.
Town very packed this week. Struggled to get parking in Fairgreen on a Wednesday morning.
Is something going on in town?
Nobody is stopping either of you from going to protest at their houses
I'd have no problem standing with people protesting, in a case like this.
Patrick is correct about rules not to name anyone.
fwiw, people involved in the drug scene whether they be selling or using, know the game, but when it comes to endangering innocent civilians lives, something needs to happen. It'd be great if the Guards gave a boll1x.
This Anonymous website as you call it has rules about naming people someone who is using the site for over a decade should know that.
p.
There ya go, you won't say their names on an anonymous website but expect others to stand outside their houses protesting them or are you going to lead the protests
Every dog on the street knows who is responsible for putting the innocent lives of those living in the apartments above the shops they burnt out at risk. When arrested they should be charged with attempted murder as they knew what they were doing Even if and when the Gardai arrest them whichever judge they are in front of will give them a slap on the wrist compared to what they deserve.
The dealers that are not only selling their filth, but also putting peoples lives in danger, ie the people asleep in the apartments above both places that were burnt out. Who these individuals are though, I couldn't possibly say.
Which dealers precisely
They'd protest the drug dealers that are ruining their own community, just like they did all over the country but mostly Dublin years ago, by forming in large groups outside the drug dealers houses, and even spray painting their houses "drug dealers out" for eg was a common one.
It seems inconceivable now, but you'd be surprised what collective community action can do.
So who exactly would they protest
