US presidential assassination attempts are not exactly uncommon and the attempt on Trump doesn't erase what he's done, what his likely to do or somehow change him into some sort of functional adult worthy of respect.
And to the posters who laugh at any sort of comparison to Hitler; you do understand that the comparisons aren't made to Hitler in his fully fledged fascist stage in a fully fledged fascist state? The comparisons are to Hitler on his rise to the position that most of humanity seem to know him for. He did not pop into existence as the fascist leader of a fascist state out of the blue.
