The irony
Worried about Trump and the potential problems for America and the world, yet condoning an assassination attempt of a candidate in a democratic presidential election.
The image of Trump clenching his fist after having taken a grazed wound from a bullet may well be the defining image of the election campaign. A show a strength in contrast to a feeble cognitively challenged Joe Biden. It's going to make it nigh impossible for the Democrats to paint Trump as a loony threat to democracy going forward for the rest of the campaign.
It may even aid Biden in his staying in the race as the Democrats may conclude that the shooting makes Trump an unbeatable candidate irrespective of who they put up against him. Surreal times we are living in.
He should claim it as an attempt at an election win and point out that he's the president, he is immune.
Trumps supreme court would be the first to agree that it was a reasonable tactic I assume :-)

You have obviously not seen Trumps attempts to find crowds to wave to, even when they are watching the sports event Trump attempted to hijack.
To be fair most people on both sides condemned this terrible event, and I suggest don't converse with anyone that thinks it's somehow OK or funny.
Trump's presidency was so fundamentally uneventful in any meaningful way that it seems a lot of people have forgotten he was even president before. They're talking here like he is the rise of Hitler.
