We must remember the world is a changed place since Trump was president. We have the War in Ukraine, the relatively new axis of Putin-North Korea-China-Iran. Although some may argue Trump is like a dog who barks more than bites, he nearly caused a coup.
That seems to be old news now. America's support for Israel forgotten now.
I would've thought it was unusual for 2 snipers on a roof to both focused in the same direction. I'd guess they saw him on the roof and were waiting authority to shoot. When they saw the shots actually being fired they returned fire immediately
Did he do anything about the US companies the last time?
it’s one thing to be aiming at a rabbit in a field, it’s another to be aiming at the ex president of America surrounded by secret service after you have just climbed a roof. Nerves play a big part, knowing that you will probably get killed any second.
Those companies will be gone eventually regardless of who is US president. For decades US Multinationals have been setting up in Ireland and then eventually leaving.
We should recognise that and plan for it rather than blame US presidents. We are in the process of dismantling farming and tourism industries in Ireland, which is going to come back to bite us big time. Can't blame Trump for that.

Maybe the shooter was so hunkered down on the roof they couldn't actually see him until he raised the rifle? Assuming they're monitoring a fairly wide field, he could probably lock on and get a cluster of shots away before they had a chance to react..

Well he’s not too far off the market tbh. Irelands GDP depends on 10 mostly (if not all) American multinational companies. If America goes to **** our economy goes to **** with it. If our economy goes to **** our social structure gets heavily damaged. So yeah- what happens in America can determine our country’s future.
And we could do without the likes of you condoning murder.

It's the way you ask the question which only already leads to differences and polarization.
I find the whole thing bizarre, not just this incident but America. We are fed the line that this is the country that leads the free world, yet this is the best 2 candidates they could put forward. One should be in a nursing home and the other is another geriatric ego maniac.
America deserves trump and I find all the hysteria that goes with him, over the top. He was president for 4 years, the world didn't fall down then and it won't this time either if he's elected.
