My guess, and I don’t think I’m far wrong, is that the fundamental principles of democracy get pushed to the front and the personality and faults of the candidate get pushed to one side- democracy “trumps” personality - so if you’re republican or democrat and your “man” gets attacked by an outside force, even if you don’t like him or would have turned out to vote for him, your wish to reestablish democratic principles of your country after such an event, and to “take a stand” will drive you to support him

Whats nonsense is the hosts "report". Shes cherrypicking very early news reports, the same thing Sky did. Quote mining. Appealing to thickos whos brains hae been fried by Twitter and dont have the attention span to watch something for more than 90 seconds.
Ive been watching CNN since last night. Their coverage has been very balanced. As soon as it was obvious there were shots fired they reported it as an assassination attempt.
The overarching point I have gotten from @Overheal is that because some Republicans acted horribly towards Pelosi's assassination attempt, he/she is going to do the same towards Trump. I.e. Stoop to their level.
And let's not forget an innocent bystander was also killed yesterday.

Well he’s not too far off the market tbh. Irelands GDP depends on 10 mostly (if not all) American multinational companies. If America goes to **** our economy goes to **** with it. If our economy goes to **** our social structure gets heavily damaged. So yeah- what happens in America can determine our country’s future.
