It's funny because (triggerwarning) astrologically speaking this weekend marks a conjunction between a number of planets with a star called Algol. I think initial speculation was hoping this was an amateurish low caliber / airsoft incident but it was possibly the real deal. Trump is very lucky.

Sounded like a conventional firearm to me, especially compared to the volley which I presume was the police fire going back the other way and as air rifles go, it's a good rate of fire. Remember, the sound is from a distance, and it's an open-air event so there's no 'confinement' effect.
The other thing is that normally to get close to a presidential event, one has to go through metal detectors, so there may be some distance involved. In any case, I guess we'll find out the details in time.

Life always goes on. The point is what kind of life will it be. For Americans, life under a dictatorship with no rule of law, perhaps.
Possibly the person who fired the shots in question. Secret service wouldn't be too long taking them out.
