A thread to keep each other up to date about where we all are in the process
Check your emails, just received my PCA invite
ngl my hole is in my stomach
hahahaha, me and you both!! Never felt so sick in my life 😂😂
For the ones that have passed the PCA test, what would be your top tips for passing. Thanks 🙏
Attend the familiarisation try and do your practice in parts like sprint crawl jump you can't do a full lap but can do a few sections together
my tip would be, dont under estimate the course.
It looks easy and simple but the hall environment dries out your lungs and zaps your energy
If you can run 5km in a comfortable pace and hop and skip and jump and bend, you’ll be grand!
Anyone needs any more tips drop me a pm 😀.
am a girl and I passed the pca, I already strength train but I can see where girls would struggle in certain elements of it , I would defo recommend if you aren’t weight lifting you should defo start will help with wall part and pulls and just over all agility, the hall is hard on your lungs but defo sprint as fast as u can and take time on certain elements of the course
I'm the same as you. I have good strength but was careful on certain parts of the course. It was definitely much more difficult than anticipated but just push through as fast as possible on the straight running bits and got a decent time.
emailed yesterday about my medical , they said a medial date has been requested for me and oh are making there way through a list for dates for people I should hear shortly , anyone else the same ?
For the familiarisation day, do you do the course in a group or by yourself?
you attend as a group, it’s a good opportunity to meet the others and compare notes.
Yeah group go In together you'll probably hear a few people talking about the boards on the day of the test one at a time when you are nearly finished your last lap next person comes in to start
got my medical date 🫶
Any call handlers got their vetting result back yet? And if so, how long did it take?
happy days, glad you finally got a date 👍🏻
any ideas when calls for Sept class might go out?
someone said at the end of June they had been offered a start date for after the summer, probably being September.
the give u around 6 weeks notice for class , so calls would be August time
anyone in the 550 mark has their vetting passed?
I'm 400-450 and still waiting. Got a search on my credit report on Monday.
similar position just waiting on vetting
new campaign start of 2025
where did you see this?
I also heard this but not sure how accurate it is
it’s on psni what do they know, so as it’s official release its usually very accurate
I’m hoping I’ll be in before 2025! The thought of going through the process all over again 😂😂
they will put us through while doing 2025 also don’t worry
It is true. Sent to all current officers last week on a budget update from the chief
just found out Iv passed vetting so Iv completed all stages. Has anyone had the call for September yet? Just curious as I need to give my job a lot of notice.
How can you see if your credit history has been viewed?
