what would you prefer? The site to stay derelict? A phone/vape shop? I think the town should stay clear of garden centres for a while…. If the drive through is successful, then so be it. It creates jobs, has people spending money, etc, etc.
have you seen the traffic jams up there?? I didn't say it should be left derelict!! but a drive through is going to be a nightmare to what is already crazy up there with Mcdonalds!
If it takes cars from the McDonalds queue it actually might help keep cars off the main road on busy days 🤪 I wonder will there also be an entrance from the shopping centre side….
I think the main entrance to the new place is on the road that leads to the excess Manor West parking area so I suppose it will be possible to get into the place from both ends of that road.
Smash'd It diner now open where Abrakebabra used to be.
What kind of food does it do?
Presumably all the stuff on this page, except it says shashd it for some reason.

I see they are doing a SMAASH sauce on the spice bag. I wonder has it anything to do with Ardfert?
I haven't a clue, perhaps Ardfert is only supplying ingredients like someone on here said they do for other burger joints in the area?
There are 2 new Barbers opening up! One is next to Benners hotel and another is opposite the new nail bar in Bridge Street (right opposite another Barbers!). There must be some amount of demand for barbers in this town as we have quite a lot of them now!
Everyone is doing the barbering course in monavalley.
I think you mentioned a few phone repair shops closing down recently...I'm guessing the staff were just redeployed to the next over subscribed business that miraculously make a profit no matter how many of them operate....
They should go the whole hog and open a few laundrettes just to break the monotony, I'm sure they'd be popular.
Nothing like washing your dirty laundry in public 😁
Apparently there’s some form of temporary accommodation being set up on the grounds of the old Klopman factory in Clash Ind Estate. Anyone else hear if this is true or not? Seems strange to use this site with the army barracks empty?
Things must be hotting up in the High Court. It says Monday but it could be Monday 8th July as I can see no mention on today's list. The mud will be slinging from all directions. 😛

And still no mention of what is happening for next month's festival!?
Feile na Blath was on this weekend. Weather wasn't great unfortunately. I went down yesterday afternoon, just as it started to rain. Pretty small crowd down there.
Same happened last year. It rained for the feile
I think it was torrential rain on the Saturday, when the whole down ended up almost flooded, with shops having rain coming in their ceilings! I remember going down on the Sunday and it was a lovely day.
I see the land beside the b&b in oakpark road is cleared of the trees

signs gone up to say these are only being stored temporarily
yeah, the land was sold by auction a couple of weeks ago. Quite a lot of property being sold in Oakpark of late and selling quite fast!
The paparazzi will be outside the courthouse in Tralee on the 17th when the pair appear in person and not by video-link.

wonder what the further charges will be!?
They must have dug up something else to move them further away from getting off.
Leen's lawyer, Pat Mann, is busy with something else as well, of a more personal nature. 😛

Looks like another phone shop is going into where 'Telefon' was in the square! Just what we need...…
There's nothing like another Mass....I mean phone shop 😁
That Thomas Dooley murder case in Cork is crazy. Its insane to read and sounds like it was literally all to do with his daughter not wanting to marry a son of the accused (cousin I think?). Literal animals. That man was butchered. RIP

I don't think we'll ever learn the actual reasons from that mob. Probably drug- and money-related. They're having the courts on with this nonsense.
The last 5 visits to Tralee, saw me going up to Manor West and then on home. I miss the second-hand bookshop in the old mall[ i think it is still there] but the town has changed so much in the years I lived there that I can't relate to it anymore. I spent the years from 1998 to 2002 living there. Phone shops, Takeaways, and insistent seagulls!!! Even the old 'Abby Inn' [before it was rebult]has gone by the wayside.
