Well hello
…probably wont be many problems getting dublin tickets all the way to gig now, best of luck flogging london though, how much were they?
end of day it’s the artist fee that’s sets the basis and then artist opt in for all those platinum/dynamic pricing nonsense. Artist agent signs off on ticket pricing and packages. Buck stops with them. Promoters and ticketmaster work off agreed small % with artist agent as a small % of a few million is a nice earner
…ah come on now, yes the artists are a part of the problem, but when you re dealing with behemoths such as live nation, and the drive to maximise profits, all bets are off, its clearly a problem of all of the above, companies such as live nation are not just sitting around waiting for artists to set the bar, do you work in the industry, if so, at what capacity?
…it ll be interesting to see how the law suits go in the states…
the power dynamic in the industry is on the side of artist if they are AC/D.C. there agent/manager set the terms. Of course live nation/ticketmaster get their cuts and live nation try to maximise their income in the areas where they can such as charges, merch cut, sponsorship and alcohol rebates. The list goes on. But for the actual ticket price being so high that’s down to Artist fee. If an artist wants a few million a show that automatically leads to ticket price being over €100. Same with dynamic and packages. Of course a promoter wants more of those to be sold as its % is on gross ticket sales revenue. But when final settlement statement is done the artist sees that lions share of all that money. They want to capture the “fair value” of their worth.
This has been a paid advert for Livenation brought to you by their favourite spokesperson.
Thread's getting boring lads, any rock news? 🤘
Yep, I'm waiting for closer ones
The shows on the tour so far have been getting great reviews
Wonder will Dublin get a pop up shop and bar
Think they confirmed in advance a while ago which cities are getting the Dive Bar.
…more tickets there folks…
Where section 430 etc? It is some premium level between 330 and 530?
Ticketmaster are the greatest shower of **** of all time.
I think its the last few rows of 330.

430 is up the very back of 330 and under the overhang of 530. So it's a restricted view in the sense that you'll see nothing if you stand up. They're great seats for a game, once you remember not to jump too high if an exciting goal is scored! But for a rock concert, you'd be relying on everyone in front of you to stay seated so you can stay seated and see the show.
Found similar with a premium ticket I got for Garth Brooks. Sec 529 Row K seat 11, tbf it was decent for the most part and can imagine people in the middle of the row must of had a crap view
…tickets, tickets, tickets……
Did they release the good premium level ones near the stage I wonder ? 😁
no clue tbh, ive actually never been to croker, so…..
Id be very wary of anything not on the pitch myself anyway. At a push the lower tiers but you need to be standing for this kind of gig anyway, bar a person with mobility issues of course.
..oh give it time, age can change the mind!
Wtf is going on here?
Just people been arseholes and showing how bad some premium level tickets can be
Found this on Google, hope it's correct. Just bought tickets in 533
I'm not even worrying about tickets until a day before, 100% confidence that i'll pick one up cheap, just this last week
Rammstein, Paid 60Euro day before , 115 face value with fees
Green Day, Paid 160 for 2 Gold Circle for wifey and her mate, face value 260 (with fees)
Pearl Jam tickets could be got for 40 day before
And Croke is nearly double capacity of all these venues
533 is a great spot. Comfy seats and easy access to a plentiful bar/food area. Enjoy
..id say i ll be doing the same, may not even go tbh….
Ya, I'm on the fence too. Same weekend as Electric Picnic. I'll see on the Thursday before the weekend if the weather will be dry for the weekend. If it is, I'll head for Electric Picnic. If it could be a messy weekend, I'll prob just take in AC/DC. Electric picnic line-up is crap enough, but it's more about the occasion. Whilst I like AC/DC, I have a feeling I will be disappointed by it if they are a shadow of their former selves.
I'm also firmly in the seen em before, not too pushed. Cheap ticket? Oh go on then!
Where are you picking up all these ????
I don't know where that poster got his/hers from. But tickets for all those gigs were on adverts.ie and toutless leading up to the gig. I saw a pearl jam ticket going for €25. Tickets for Kings of Leon will be dirt cheap on Saturday.
25 items, not quite as expensive as Elton..
