Starting a thread for 2025 gigs as they'll likely start rolling in.
I'll arbitrarily throw in Rob Beckett playing the Olympia on the 26th September 2025 which went on sale today.
Um OK. She sang at the the last 3Arena gig she played so.... 🤷🏻
nearly every touring artist has a form of backing track
All pop acts have backing bail tracks
Most rock acts have prompters and in ear metronomes
It’s not a dig anymore
Liam Gallagher's Definitely Maybe tour did very well. I saw him in Dublin which was brilliant & seeing him again in Limerick on 14th. One can assume he'll be back next year with a What's The Story Morning Glory anniversary tour.
Hmm there is a difference between a backing track and singing over a track that includes lead vocals.
Nothing wrong with backing tracks that dont include lead vocals, but in the clip above she is clearly lip syncing large parts of the song.
She has a back up track for her vocals, with her adding some live vocals here, and there.
As for prompters and ear metronomes there is nothing wrong with that, the audience doesnt hear that.
It's turning into an 'annual thing' at this stage
You sure know a lot about Dua Lipa for someone who doesn't like Dua Lipa.
She has come out and categorically denied lip syncing which is backed up by other sources, but yeah, you probably know better. 😂😂
Never said I didnt like her.
Hmm did you even look at the clip I posted, blatantly caught rotten lip syncing.
You would call the kettle black.
It's very obviously the backing vocal track that continues playing.
You would call the kettle black
This coming from the "bots are buying all the tickets" guy is tragic 😂
Its not a backing vocal, its the lead vocal.
As I said you'd call the kettle black.
Pretty much every pop singer these days that has dance routines while they sing, has a track with their vocals which they sing over.
It's not lip syncing as the microphone is still on. They sing over a lead vocal track. Lip syncing would be pretending to sing the vocals completely. Pretty much everyone is aware that there's a pre-recorded vocal track playing with a live vocal being sang over it. Apart from Zardoz it seems. This isn't new, and almost all pop stars with energetic dance routines have been doing this for years.
Good!
Any predictions on the 2025 Stadium acts ?
Stacked lineup this summer and could be possible 'no shows' for some venues in 2025
I'd love to see the Foo Fighters back. It's unlikely give that they're touring Europe now but I'd love to see them here next year. One can hope.
RDS is probably out of action til summer 2026 in regards concerts
Hard to know. Leinster are due back for the 2025/26 season so next summer isn't out of the question (yet).
I can dream but Offspring possible next year, would likely need to bring half decent support to sell tickets. Bad Religion and Social Distortion with them on a dry weekend night in June would be heaven. Better for for Kilmainham or Malahide than Marlay.
New album coming out too I think??? I'd say if they played it might be a Trinity series gig? There gig with the hives in the 3Arena was great
U2 hitting the road in 2025 is rumoured. That's the Croke Park or Slane slot filled if it happens.
croke park surely
They won’t go near Slane and I would imagine any stage they use is stadium only
Yeah if they play it'll be a few nights and Croke Park is surely the best place for it.
5 nights potentially? Maybe 1 earlier in the year like Bruce and Coldplay doing 5 combined.
2 or 3 max for U2. Sure they only did one night for Joshua tree (thought could of sold another night or two)
Dara O'Briain is to bring his new show Re:Creation to Cork Opera House on 12th Feb to 15th Feb 2025. Tickets on sale now.
could see them do marlay park if they are touring again next summer
Noah kahan in either Croker or aviva next year no doubt
Bruce Springsteen may do another lap of Europe, including Ireland next year, the postponed shows from this year are scheduled for next summer.
Flattening a few random fields in the middle of the country. Making one the "arena" and the rest a giant carpark, would genuinely be a better option than Marlay bleedin Park. God I hate that place. 😂
Has he got that big?
if an artist can sell over 30,000 plus tickets for Belfast in an hour they can comfortably do the aviva at 50,000 or 2x marlay at 35k a night or be within spitting distance of croke park. Depends if the hype and popularity holds itself
No way is he big enough for Croke Park. He's only doing two nights in the O2 in London comparatively (40k total) and outside of a major surge in popularity this year, the hype will either plateau or die down. A couple of nihjys in the 3Arena at best.
Sure Olivia Rodrigo who is a much bigger artist was limited to two 3Arena shows this year and Billie Eilish who is even bigger again is doing two 3Arena shows next year. No way is Noah Kahan getting bigger space then them.
