Before the war broke out in Ukraine I ordered IN-12A Nixie tubes from there and a PCB that could be used as an Arduino shield, but never got around to ordering all the electronic components so they sat in the "box of Shame" for over 5 years.
Then I spotted a pre assembled PCB / kit on Aliexpress recently for 48 quid, powered by USB-C instead of 12V for the other PCB and it arrived today!
The photos of the glow, do not do it justice and it's a lovely warm glow when seeing it in the flesh.
I figured I'd just order the premade kit as it probably costs not much more than all the components needed and the hassle of soldering them
I'm still waiting on CR1220 Button batteries for the PCB and remote control so I can't turn the LEDs off yet. I thought they would cheapen the look of the clock but they might actually be growing on me. 😊
