I was in woodies earlier and heard one of the employees mention to a customer about a deal that started today.

They have a Weber Q2000 for €299 but apparently there is a €145 cash back with Weber once you send in your receipt.

I haven’t looked at the T&Cs yet so unsure of how many hoops you have to jump through to get the cashback.

I think I've made mistakes on each section of the application, in fairness some of them were stupid and my fault (wrong date) but the instructions are not very clear eg 13 digits barcode etc

I emailed them with corrections as I couldn't see how to update the application.

Anyone unsure of the bottle, just need to make sure your gas bottle has a valve that looks like this. All the Patio Gas (grey bottles) will have this.

Picke dup mine this morning and was tempted by the Spirit II which can get in places for €500 but has a €225 cashback but stuck with Q2000 as my wife would divorce me if came home with a €500 bbq. Uploaded pics of serial number and barcode but there wasnt anywhere to upload the receipt. Was this the same for all others who submitted theirs. i think i will e maiul them with copies of them all just incase there is any issues down the line with them saying they havent received correct details. They say they wont accept peeled stickers either so just warning for others its best not to give them a chance to refuse you. Woodies staff spoke with also said that they had contacted weber to clarify that they would honour the offer form them as they had discounted this model and they confirmed they would.

Tempted to pop out and pick one of these up at lunchtime. Stupid question, as I've never bought a gas cylinder before: There seems to be a refill price & a higher price to get a new cylinder. Do they actually refill the cylinder you bring, or is it taken to be refilled at a later date?

There's a Patio gas cylinder that's been in my garden from the previous owners (so 8 years old +). Could/should I bring that in when buying gas? I don't even know if it's fully empty, but I never knew what to do with it, so there it sat (out of view) for all these years.

I did the same thing late last night. However looking at it again this morning I clearly misread the application form as I too uploaded the serial number as the button is right below it.

However this is actually where the invoice should uploaded. I emailed them also with a copy of my receipt linking it with my application number.

Bit annoyed but not much I can do now. Given how many applications they are going to have to process I'm expecting a response any time soon.

Like others here I fluffed the attachments, but then emailed them the Receipt which I had not attached where I now know it should go.

I wasn't expecting an early response but got an e-mail this morning basically saying my application was now sorted.

Very impressed with the speed of the reply and the efficiency for a cashback deal.

They seem reasonable and fair so if you feel you have made a mistake email as comprehensively as you need to and you should be fine.

Tracking now states

'Verification completed'

'Bank Transfer Pending'

can anyone tell me where the serial number is located? on the box or on the bbq parts. I cut the box to fit it in the car and cut off the white barcode labels and left the box so am now worried that i chucked out the serial number ??

Hi, where is the 13 digit barcode that is required. There is a barcode on the label attached to the box, however this does not have 13 digits.

having spoken to Orchard Garden Centre they say that the digits under the barcode are the serial number. I got a Spirit model and it has 12 digits although looking at the Weber site it says the s / n is 2 letters followed by 7 numbers which is also on the label so take your pick. the redemption site says 13!

They don't refill it while you wait - they just swap it for a full one. Yes, you should bring it, but it needs to be the right type (propane versus butane), and if it's in really bad shape (rust etc.) they may not take it. Also, might be time to clean up your garden. 😉

You simply bring any gas cylinder and you get a filled replacement.

You can bring an orange cylinder and buy a refilled grey one.

Incorrect

Barcode is the same for every item of the type.

A serial number is individual for the actual item you have. If you bought 500 of them, they'd all have the same barcode but you'd have 500 different serial numbers.

So that they know your BBQ has had the claim applied for, they need the serial number in order to cancel it from the promo.
