Yep, if they told you that in Sandyford, I would be inclined to think they are talking rubbish.
The delivery team is in the UK and they likely don't know either.
I was told by Salesman and confirmed when I phoned Tesla this morning.
Collecting MY on Friday 28th
at what point will i have my reg number ?
also they said id receive documents from Finance company to fill in DD mandate etc

Usually you'll receive the registration number either the day before or the morning of collection. Sometimes it appears as a "Proof of Registration" pdf on your online account before the number shows on the app or the text message is sent so it's worth checking there too.
1-2 days beforehand. And before you post, don’t worry about motor tax. Don’t after you get the car.

I’m also collecting on the 28th and don’t have a registration number or documents from the finance company.
I talked to them on Monday and they mentioned they’re having issues with vehicles coming from Berlin. I still have the price wrong on mine…
At this stage I’m expecting them to postpone delivery….

Just got a vin # for m3 rwd. Any idea how long after that for delivery? App says 28-30th June
No set date. It’s based on the ship arrival. People have had VINs for a month or more before delivery.
Black rwd with 19inch wheels and a red lr available now if anyone wants one.
I assume Finance Ireland don’t do approvals at the weekend? Seem to be Mon-Fri
Tesla asked to schedule delivery without it with only one day available (Sunday), but even with finance they won’t be able to register+do grant at the weekend, so guess it’ll be into 242 (which is fine).
Edit: Guess FI are working today: just got a conditional approval SMS.
Is there a way to contact Tesla to transfer a trade in offer from one order to a new car order? Or do you have to go through the process with submitting photos etc again?

The saga comes to an end.
Collected my Model 3 in Baldonnell last Monday so my Tesla experience finally comes to an end.
As I expected, it's an unbelievable car, great value, incredible acceleration and more tech than the space shuttle.
Absolutely delighted with it. When my wife wants her car ,she has to ring me to bring it back to her. Not to worry, I'll probably be off the road soon if I don't slow down.
Lesson learnt, if I was to buy again (Performance?) It would be from inventory to avoid the journey I've been on since Dec 23 but it's all a bad dream now in the past. The car more than makes up for it every time I get in it.

6 months to get a new car doesn't see bad. Wasn't long ago that wait list for a Skoda Enyaq was 18 months and for a Nissan Ariya…..literally unknown! (can get them now finally).
Have my order in, and at the step for scheduling a delivery appointment. Only options are Dublin but I’m in cork. Any way to get it changed? I’ve no option to do so on the app? Has anyone dealt with similar?
I believe Dublin is the only option at the moment. You could hedge your bets and hold out to see if new dates in cork will be added.
Or at least contact support and ask them if any cork collections are possible.
yeah I’ve emailed them so will see what the response would be. I can head to Dublin as I’d prefer the car sooner rather than later. Just a trek up there 😂
a rake of Model 3's just popped up on the Tesla website as arriving soon, I was onto their chat and arriving soon = last week in July
..which is the same date as existing orders so if you have one ordered the same config as those on the website there's no point in switching your reservation

Just got a vin assigned and asked to accept tesla vision clause.
Stuff is starting to move it seems. Have a delivery window which will likely get pushed too.
