The NI house, its rather silly looking anyway, when you see the broader view, especially the one beside it, it is ridiculous.
Spot on. I kinda felt my heart sinking just looking through the first few photos.
The layout really looks like it used to be two separate houses and that ridiculous glass stair tower between them was added as an afterthought. If the construction date of 2010 is actually accurate then that does seem unlikely, but it's hard to believe someone would have designed the place that way on purpose.
I saw this old shed for sale…

In fairness now it's more than an old shed.
So much grey. It’s everywhere 🤮 At least the kids got some coloured paint in their room
Is that a living roof?
Some colour inside, new windows and get rid of the odd cabinets shoved into every free wall of the kitchen.
Painting the exterior, a proper driveway and lots of landscaping would help the ugly exterior.
It's too overpriced given the outstanding work required but it's far from a shed.
Many years ago, these houses had 3 flats each, owned by the diocese, I believe and families who would never had got a holiday were put up for a week in them. Lots of families got lots of memories here!
That's a spacious GAA clubhouse surely?. 400k, insanity
….
As seen in the Independent….

It is almost perfect (BER rating aside). Three bedrooms, loads of space, nice price, close to Dublin…..
Though as I get older I get less interested in these sorts of houses. I have a nice sized house in the country with a lump of land and gorgeous views. But the novelty wears off as you get older and your kids grow up and start to leave the nest.
I can see myself selling up and moving to a house or apartment in a town or city when the last child finished college where as an old decrepit man I can walk to the shop, pub or GP rather than having to drive everywhere.
Though at this stage its probably more likely I'll have to abandon the house to the kids to fight over and flee to the sun.
I love it, inside and out, but it would be very bleak in winter. I get you on being in a more urban area with less garden maintenance, aspirations are different to reality.
Tis but it has a very cold grim look off it from the outside…I'd say it would be a bleak auld place in the winter, the interior is grand but the exterior is just a bit soul destroying….I does scream lean to to me ha.
Did we have this before…?
Cash buyers only please because there's no planning permission.
Don't think we've had that before.
What an eyesore, you couldn't give it to me even if it had planning.
how would you get planning, or even a builder to agree to build on this :

You wouldn't. You'd be spending a hundred grand on a bit of land that you could maybe kayak out to and camp on occasionally, assuming the entire thing isn't actually just a bog and you could clear a few trees to make a campsite.
I’d love to buy it, remove any invasive plants and rats and leave it as a nature refuge.
Agreed. I do like the little outside office though. I'd love a separate office down the end of my garden. (Goals).
This place looks like a local couple built a place hoping to get a Dignitas franchise.
I can see it ending up as a backdrop to a Yorgos Lanthimos movie.
Something different

That's really lovely but half a million for a little 1 bed 👀 Yes I know it's near the coast and the DART station but still a crazy price to me for such a little place, however lovely it is.
It's infinitely more attractive than a one bed apartment would be, and in that part of Dublin one beds can run close to €500k.
This is dear but you do get 4 acres and amazing views.

€4M for a view - no thanks not for me. The house is very average and needs updating. €4M for that is shocking😲
If that’s the price of a rocky outcrop in Killiney, no wonder Pat Kenny tried to, ahem, tried to fence in a bit next to his house!
It's tiny.
And most of the natural light coming from overhead windows would put me right off. Some overhead windows are fine, but it makes it feel smaller and closed in (to me) when there are less eye level windows.
That's gorgeous, but where do you put a washing machine and tumble dryer?
I hate the splashback in the kitchen, it looks like it was painted black and scratched, but the rest is gorgeous with lovely decoration and courtyard.
Wonder what this started life as..doubt it was a intended as a house

I wonder do you own the yard it's set in if so it looks a decent size and if were so inclined to build on it and sell or even sell a site. A way to get some of your money back from the purchase of that property.
