It's not typical for a person to be disrupting the coroner's court so that leads to a different course of action to normal.

She was disrupting the coroner's court. Incredibly distressing for anyone attending it and a quick resolution rather than letting her off to continue disrupting it is pretty sensible. Honestly you're sounding a bit like Gemma O'Doherty in terms of manufacturing scandals.
The media aren't the problem here. The Burkes are. All the deflection in the world will not change that.

A lunatic shouting and screaming at coroners inquest into the death of a child is something I would have thought would be very likely to create a great deal of anguish and distress in a small local community. It may very well have been a decision that could have defused a much more serious incident.
So you don't think much of our democracy then? Contempt of court,, harass members of the judiciary and the legislation are a direct attack on democracy because it denies people their right to due process before the law, representation in the various institutions and so on. The only crime about that is treason and that carries a 40 year tariff!
All countries take these matters very serious because of what they represent not because of physical act itself. If you can't get that there is nothing we can do.
This is also someone who has form for similar nonsense and, as another poster mentioned, whenever a Burke has a court date, a few of them show up in order to disrupt the proceedings.
This was a case of a savvy judge knowing how to cut them off at the source. Such approaches should be taken in the case of similarly disruptive troublemakers.

The Coroner would not have been able to continue with proceedings until she was dealt with so a family would have been forced to wait even longer to get closure on the circumstances around the death of a loved one just because an entitled conspiracy theorist loon wanted to disrupt the hearings so they could spout nonsense.
Do you think it’s fair to go into a coroners court and cause up set to a family who are there for very valid reasons under sad circumstances, and she only trying to use it for her own personal twisted gain. This family only care about their twisted beliefs and publicity and sooner the courts step and put a stop to it the better.
