When doing the social media news if it was anything more than interim then it is to much. If established sportsmen who were involved with a singer or actress it be he’d is nothing without her. That was even if she could pronounce his name. Some cases even said they played for the wrong team. So anything more than that is overpaid. That’s just reality in that game

I didn't ask any of that, was she given the job permanently or not? Did RTE say she had? What was her contract? Is she taking a case against them for "constructive dismissal"? I highly doubt it. Instead she will sit there doing bits and pieces around rte getting paid well for it.

She does more than lip-sync from what I have seen, she is famous for lip sync and I think that is how she started out

tbf to the Johnnies - not my cup of tea but they host a fairly succesful podcast with live shows…i think they could translate better to the radio than someone lip syncing on tik tok

cursory glance at her social media, she's another Cian Twomey/Doireann Garrity - lip syncs/ Irish Mammy material/ puts on same accent in impressions/hocks stuff ….if i was a student in radio/presenter in a regional station, id just give up for any chance

Yesterday a TikTok ‘star’, today a comedian who isn’t widely known. I’m wishing they’d put the station out of its misery at this stage.
He is actually very talented, great voice, plays guitar and is funny imo. But not sure that automatically would make him a decent DJ/host.

Fair enough. I’ve lost track of the comedy circuit the last while. It’s just really that the qualification for a 2FM job now appears to be followers and not radio about.
To be honest I would have said he would be a better option and more experienced than Doireann when she was hired for her online status according to 2FM
