Send a pic of the chest valve on the loader, would be expecting to see an ls signal line, pressure and return
There are 3 pipes going to valve chest.
There is 3 pipes on the back end also.
At the back of the tractor on the LH end of the valve block there should be a triangular plate where the 3rd pipe is routed to.
Or there may be a t-piece shuttle valve under the centre spool block at the rear of the tractor where the 3 pipe connects to
All can be blanked at the tractor end when the pipes are removed
Thanks @FintanMcluskey
Picked this up today now after a long wait on my tams application..bit of getting use to on it but seems a well mad bit of kit
what make is it? I gave 12500 in 2018 for lely 6rotor
Kverneland 6 rotor
8576 I think it is
Thinking of buying a Lely rotonde 510. Looks in good shape. Are there any faults or problems with them?
Will only be used for my own work, about 80 acres per year.
Have one. Simple machine. Hangs out a fair bit behind when closed in for transport. Does a good job once set right. Need the bottom rings parallel with the ground. Make sure to keep tyre pressure right or it will be rubbing the ground. In light crops it has a tendency to throw the crop back out behind it a bit and leave it messy. Designed to bring in 2 10ft rows. Width of swath is adjustable by varying overall width. Doesn't do great raking up after non conditioned mowers. Works much better after a tedder has gone through. I drive around 6.5kph and <540 revs on the PTO. Tractor in 540E too so light on juice
Itll be following an 8 foot disc mower, but I have a lotus 300 so can ted ahead of it.
It's like yer a clone of me in another part of the universe! I've an 8ft disc mower and it's after that the Rotunde would struggle, depending on the lie of the crop. We started tedding after the mower a few years ago with a Lely Gemini which we've had at home since the mid 80s sometime! Tis like this by with different lift arm connections and we've the cage taken off
Question for you- disc mower wont come up all the way to latch for transport, tried 2 tractors same result. Rang local mechanic for someone to repair hydraulic ram but he maintains without seeing it that there must be something physically blocking mower bed from lifting ( that if ram wasn't right it wouldn't lift bed off ground ) Can't see anything impeding it that way myself but if leak internally in ram is oil building up in top chamber where there is no port to relieve it?
I think he might be right. It might be a hydraulic issue if there was a lack of oil but since it's stopping more or less in the same spot on both tractors it does sound like it's binding on whatever it pivots on.
Another thing to check is if the ram isn't bent as it could bind as it's being retracted.
Had that problem before and ram had unscrewed itself inside the housing so making itself longer as a result. So when it lifted up it was just a hairs breath away from the latch and wouldn't catch
Is there a small piece of silver still showing when it's retracted
I’ve a class mower that does that every couple of years but there is an outlet on the ram to open to get the trapped oil out. It’s just a small grub screw to remove
Anyone know did that 76 sell at the auction today
Ended up buying a Beresford trailer.
Best of luck with it David.
Is it 29ft?
Yes see a small screw hole at end of ram with a small weep of oil coming out, Is it allen key or phillips head? worth a try but does it mean internal seal is damaged?
Can't see anything anyway, pivot seems to be simple with nothing to bind
Single acting ram? Possibly a blocked air vent?
It's a 28ft. Looked at all different makes but decided to keep it simple.
Allen key on mine. Just open it and close the ram. I wouldn’t think it’s damaged
will you pm me the price
I think it 4400, + commission
Tks.wasnt it on dd for 2.5 k
Just an ad for it saying it was going to be at the auction. The one on DD for 2.5k was a 6610 2wd. That 76 was a County, (at least the front axle was) and it was running and driving so it wasn't too dear really.
"winner alright" 😁 Yes blocked air vent, some rust on inside of cylinder wall also. wondering as this is single acting ram there is no oil in one end ( above piston ) so does condensation happen in this end over winter during storage. I keep silver part exposed coated in grease when not in use but maybe should disconnect ram from mower bed and retract fully?
Thanks to all who responded
I'm broke again..
New purchase. Have a closed system on slurry now. Tanker, agitator.
I'm like all the farmers over @GrasstoMilk direction with all their own gear.
Be careful don't blow the tits out of the ford. We'll ware
