174 seats at €300 each is over 50K.
6 hotels rooms and a large taxi/small bus is going to be under €2000. Extra airports charges can't be more than a few 100 per day.
Even if the cost ends up at €5000 per aircraft overnight ingame, that massive potential revenue vs cost.
Looking at Rome, Night stopping provides 2 extra flights (1 return pair) per day.
Increased frequency grows the market as the alternate timings suit a wider segment of the travelling population.
with Athens being once a day, wouldn’t that mean each crew need two nights down there?
Night stopping is only needed on a route with multiple daily frequencies.
It allows a early departure from the destination, and a late arrival.
Hence why Rome, with 2x daily previously, was a good choice.
So….how is the fleet these days???? (very quiet in here) 🤣
NSF is to be delivered direct to Dublin on the 21st, all going well!
if they have a pilot rostered to fly it that is!
So with nsf been delivered today it would seem that all lhr flights will be operated by a320neo
So privilege style is operating the faro flight 496 wonder will it be operating for aerlingus for the summer
Didn't they operate TFS and BCN most of last summer too?
NSF enroute to Dublin. That completes the current "shorthaul fleet renewal" for EI.
I'm guessing that the current unpleasantness will scupper any planned application to IAG for more A320neo's.

Yep and the year before it was barcelona and lanzaorte
A second privilege style the b777 is on its way to dublin to operate for aerlingus
I've noticed that from the start of the W25 schedule the loaded times from DUB - BRS no longer have a gap for the BRS - ORK flight to operate on a W. Is the route being dropped perhaps? Would be a shame
It’s still very early, schedules have only started to be loaded, I’d imagine it will appear shortly.
I think EI are busy trying to work out their schedule for this weekend never mind W25 😂
Very true! 😂 although I've wondered before would Emerald have their own access to EIs systems to load their own timings, pricing etc or would it all be managed by EI themselves?
my understanding of the franchise agreement is that Emerald have the operational risk so I would assume they can set fares? Or is it that EI pay Emerald a fixed fee and they own the profit or loss?
I would imagine it's the former above, Emerald setting fares and carrying the burden of risk, and then paying EI a franchise agreement fee. Open to correction though
purely guessing here but aren’t franchises the other way around? The operator pays x amount to use the brand and then makes whatever profit?!? Much like Spar or Subway etc??
EI-NSF hasn’t flown yet since delivery from Airbus on the 21st - is this due to the current action by pilots? FR usually put their new planes into service the next day, I would’ve thought EI would do the same, particularly on longer sectors or LHR, instead of a A320ceo, where there are cost savings to be had.
The previous A32N deliveries went to Castellon and Montpellier for pre-entry into service work, usually took a few days. EI-NSF went straight to Dublin so I’m assuming it’s having those works done in Hanger 6.
Why did EI-GAM get stuck in Malaga last night? The return was cancelled as the outbound flight was in the air.
Crew out of hours, it was over 3 hours late
The Privilege Style B772 is operating EI123 today. FR24 shows the two hired-in DAT A£20s operating tomorrow morning as EI432 (DUB-LIN) and EI672 (DUB-BUD) respectively.
2 other flights aswell from Dublin izmir and berlin
I think it might be on the lanzaorte flight tomorrow to take some of the cancelled morning flight or could be an a330 if the have one spare
Not to get into a discussion about the dispute but would this have happened a month ago or is it due to the work to rule ie tighter out of hours?
Berlin would be rare but Izmir it happens a bit!
Unlikely that it would have happened
Business class passengers on the 123/122 operated by Privelge Style have been informed that there is no business class being operated on their flights and will get a downgrade refund. Is that normally the case when they operate for EI? The 777 does have a J cabin but it's just economy service being offered.
No. I know of a colleague who flew with them before and it was a full J service. However I think that was with an AL crew on the Privilage aircraft.
