Are you just typing this as you walk around Galway?

Munch Haven has opened in Where Speedos Was
Mizzoni Pizza in Eyre Square is Closed Down
Lovisa jewellery shop has opened in the body shop place on shop street.

Yep.
Cork has 27 Aldi stores, then Dublin (26), Galway (12), Kildare (9) and Tipperary (8)
Galway is the third most populous county, so there is scope for more
1985, but it had been in Eglinton St. since 1966 before they bought and moved to the former Glynn’s Gift and Toy Shop on William Street and later bought the adjoining Baker’s Kitchen. The business had been operating for 58 years.
58 years? It was only there since the mid 80s
Han Electricals in Briarhill Shopping Centre appears to be closed, store is mostly empty of stock, and a notice from centre developers on the door about not tampering with the locks…
That's the existing O'Hehirs bakery being renovated with a Temp makeshift shop on the path outside. Seems to be taking a long time too.
Westside SC - What's going in beside the butchers there? There is renovation/works
I'm sure the less than handful of staff will have little issues getting jobs elsewhere. One less scourge on the streets.
True but won't be an advert to kids etc is one plus.
Fully agree.
I don't get applauding the bookies closing down, at least they employ people locally. It's not a sign of reduced gambling, it's a sign of it heading into a poorly regulated online environment.
It's bad news.
Well done on naming 3 of the biggest reasons why online gambling is incredibly dangerous and bad.
At least in a physical bookies, if you lose your cash you have to leave and go withdraw money out of an ATB go back to the bookies and hand it over again. It's effort and makes you think twice. Online gambling does not.
i prefer gambling online , open 24/7 and no need for cash, a couple of clicks job done. very handy
Gambling is still a big growth industry. Its just that it has mostly moved online - 7 X 24. The exception is casino gambling.

Ladbrokes Woodquay is closing or has closed. Good to see. Only 5 bookies left in the city centre now I make it.
That'd be Lidl.
Isn't it already a new branch of Anto Ryans? 😉
NB it's the name of the owners child, according to their website. Likely don’t have the cultural background to see it the same way ye lads do
They need to change it to RYANS. easy
It's not too near the new Savoy Hostel business anyway.
I have to say I even forgot to take a photo.
Not sure that though through the name
Tummy time now called Aryan Pizza. 😐
Afaik, one of those had planning permission for a site in Moycullen village for about a year now.
Well, the east of the City needs one, no ALDI between city centre and Oranmore. A previous poster mention planning for one on the Old Monivea road.
ClareGalway is bigger than Spiddal.
So, maybe Spiddal, Moycullen, Oughterard or Headford? They're the only big enough towns left.
