"The estate agent trying to sell that as an unfinished house is madness"
That's Emma Ryan of the Indo for you. The estate agent is calling it "partly Constructed", not so good a headline.
For sale by live stream public auction on Thur, expect it will go for North of 120K.
Timbers will be shot after 16-17 years, but walls will still be fine.
Not sure on the outside paint job

That is very expensive considering there is mould visible and the outside is just grass so not much use in those cold wet Donegal winters.
I know if you were well off you could buy it as a summer house which is what the seller is hoping will happen.
Weirdly not getting an option to reject cookies on this, anyone fancy throwing up some screenshots maybe?
This should work @Gremlinertia
Oh yeah, there are lots of approaches to this. I just feel like these houses are being marketed and priced as ‘the complete package’ when they are far from it and they really gets my goat. IMO, you’d need internal fencing too, at least until hedges and planting are mature enough, from a safety standpoint. The driveway is carved out of the slope so kids could easily run off the side of the garden and fall onto the driveway. Either that or they will be cycling or running up and down the slopes until they break their necks.
Beautiful house (but baltic in winter) and air BnB business for a reasonable price (compared to other houses).
The interior looks like something from an Ikea brochure - the exterior looks like barren wasteland…..
Its beautiful - thats a home that gives you a hug - a real home. I much prefer this house to the sterile new build posted here yesterday that looked bleak and cold. .
Bit of a fixer upper - I cannot believe someone lived in this until 2018.
Listed building so a bit of a money pit and it's beside quite a busy road but I kinda love it. And surprisingly little evidence of damp.
Its a pretty interesting gaff. They love their sofa's in the main house alright.
That heater in the barn is kind of pointless.
If only gardening was as easy as Photoshop
The EA already replaced the sky with an artificial one in the listing photo, which has become routine of late. Won't be long before they're doing this kind of thing too.
So much better!
That's too much of a mish mash for me.
It looks very damp to me?
Hmm, I was looking at that as dirt rather than damp but yeah you're probably right. It has been empty for 6 years through. Like I said, total money pit regardless.
It could be gorgeous if you had endless money though. I wonder how or why it was left to get into that state?
BER of G in NW Donegal 😱
If you like concrete and nothing else, this is the house for you.
i kind of like it though.

Looks like a prison to me.
Steve McQueen might like it.
don’t understand why they didn’t landscape it - it looks like they’re running away from the house for some reason -I reckon there’s negotiation for a quick sale to be had there - you’d need a big bunch of change to properly do the driveway and then landscape
Wow what a man - god I hope life now works out for you

All that house, but only one bedroom?
«Mod snip» will check with Admin if that's appropriate to share. Thanks.

This seems a little planning avoidant?
Post-apocalypse, you won't have any friends coming to stay over.
This one may have been shared before but it's a lovely house in a beautiful location so incase anyone missed it before. I'd never get sick of the views here, Mullaghmore is beautiful

Love it. Seems cheap at that price.
(I would kill for a laundry room like that).
It's a lot of house for that price, great location too.
