What’s the route ?
The route hasnt been said. Its probably just a rumour circulating
Shannon - FAO. W pattern with ORK aircraft
Latest A320N EI-NSE expected to arrive in Dublin tomorrow.
The soon to be EI-NSF had its second test flight yesterday as well.
Whats the chances that the 321LR could be back operating on the canaries flights this November/December? Missis was really impressed with the seats upfront back in February.
Probably not Nov/Dec because they’ll be operating a full TA schedule from DUB/SNN. Jan-Feb is when they could operate DUB-ACE. I do see a 320 Neo scheduled on DUB ACE during the winter
Mrs and young lad going Aer Lingus / Thai to BKK on Saturday week?
Should be OK I'd say.
Hard to say. My friends in the airline are all convinced that a deal will be done before it comes to strike action but it's all up in the air still. Might be worth looking at a ryanair to make your connection just in case though
Thanks for those answers.
Should be ok.
Funny looking a320 neo haha ei nse on her way
Seems to be some “cancellations” yesterday and today. 4 returns this afternoon.
I presume these ad-hoc cancellations might continue!
There must be a dozen return flights cancelled today by the looks of it.
cancelling a FAO this time of year is going to be costly.
Flight radar is showing the 11am flight today as an A330. (EI-EIK at the moment)
https://www.flightradar24.com/data/flights/ei494
2 a320 went to malaga this morning instead of the usual a330 wonder why can't see been short as eik is on faro
Look to be short, EI123 to Chicago cancelled this morning
I created a new thread for discussion regarding the imminent/upcoming industrial action. Please use that for any such discussions going forward.
Not sure where this was taken from but the "new route" information is out of date.
EI-NSE seems to be wonky on FR24 for me, shows as being operated by SAS Connect. Same for everyone else?
Yup. posts above show it was showing as an Atlantic Flight centre light aircraft for a couple of days.
Have any 320ceos left the fleet as NSE/F come in or is the third aircraft at cork the balancer?
Doesnt look like any A320's have left since Sept 2023
I would imagine cvb and cvc to go in the winter cvb be 24 in dec
Hello everyone,
Excuse my ignorance but i’d like to know how an airline is profitable on night stopping (this could be the incorrect term) crew and an aircraft in cities like Rome and London. Surely between airport and hotel costs they would end up losing money on the flight? I’m aware Rome was just recently added to their short list of European night stops so is there any of other cities they plan to add in the near future?
The evening new York flight also cancelled
Are these tech issues (yesterday and today's cancellations) or is this 'the beginning' of the pilot stuff?
Aer Lingus has long overnighted an aircraft at LHR and this facilitates an early departure to Dublin. It no doubt carries (amongst others) passengers who are transiting London from a large variety of places around the world and who will have arrived there in the earlier part of the morning. The first arrival from Rome is scheduled to arrive at DUB at 0945 and so connects well with flights to a range of North American cities. I assume that Aer Lingus know their market well enough that they consider this a profitable operation. A further point to consider is that Dublin is under pressure when it comes to overnight parking for the based short-haul aircraft, so overnighting a couple elsewhere helps in this regard.
Might be a good way to combat the stand shortages going forward whilst also feeding the first few US flights in the morning and early afternoon. The next logical places to night stop to me would be BCN and maybe ATH. Big market there for Transatlantic flights.
maybe ATH but IAG is building transatlantic capacity from BCN so doubt that would e a target.
