Amen to that brother. DIY battery would see you right though. I've not gone there myself (I bought an ME3000 last winter), but the plan is to get one once I get some spare wonga.
yeah, that’d be pretty normal over the last few weeks with a lot of sunshine and scattered clouds. Also, could be that other inverters smooth the curve in their interface whereas the Solis gives it straight, certainly seems that way from certain YouTube videos I’ve seen vs my own Solis.
36.8 kwh today in East Cork.
No smart meter = no paid export. Unless you have a legacy D/N meter and even then it's an only if...
I'd suggest request a smart meter via your energy provider. If you've an EV or a battery, move to a smart tariff with cheap night rate. And use the bulk of electricity during that night slot. Energia smart drive 2am to 6am works brill for me. It's ~8c at night and get ~24c for export. But there are any amount of those tariffs. So pick what suits.
Note that you do export, just you don't get paid for it.
Best day of the week by a long way infact best day since install at the end of May, broke the 40Kwh mark currently sitting at 41.5Kwh and maybe a bit more by time sunsets.
Long may the sun shine.
Best day of the year so far for me, and still generating over 1kwh
42.7kwh, best of the year 7.3kw S facing Meath ( 3.5kw & 2.5kw inverters ). Exported 31.7, imported 52.2kwh ( 51.1 @ ev rate)
Best day since install and broke the 50 mark with 50.09kWh.
43.2 best since install.
great day in south dublin.
10kw facing SSE, 5kw inverter, , Rathfarnham.Dublin.
67.4 kwh generation today and a new high for my system here in the west
Even though a bit of a hazy day it was almost as good as it gets here.
Longest day today and not looking as good.
New record as well, could have ended on 76kwh if I had plugged in the car early on
Wow 76kWh. At €0.24 (typical FIT rate) that's €18 for a day of sunshine.
Noice!
Did you get the panels setup on the new roof yet?
10.75 kwp East Cork
Not yet but maybe at some point this week
Wow, the output will be savage them. Mind me asking how many panels at that point? I though I was flash with 16 :)
Not too many, 42
Surely there are some people here looking at it and laughing (country-side folk mainly)
To be fair, 42 is "well out there". I've 23 and that's about as much as you'll get on a semi-detached. Yeah, I know of one two others out there with more, you know who you are (:-) ….but there are a lot of limits (Voc etc) that usually limit people to 24 panels.
Hat's off :)
31.5kwh today, best day of the year so far.
Yep. 26.5kwh for me today. Best of the year.
Move over old record there's a new record in town
A tale of two days, 2.6kwh today.
Yep! 2.3kwh today.
Tomorrow more of the same I think.
Looking good in Cork tomorrow.
after a 1megawatt month in June, think July will be disappointing. Almost half way at 378kwh
