Just found the above chart backing up what I have been saying for years.
Global warming is a wholly natural event, if humanity disappeared tonight, global warming would still happen.
When there were a lot fewer people.
Where are you going to put 1.5 billion Indians?
Well the Spanish have siesta long before the greenie cult, what did people in the heat extremes of India do?
Oh yes, they went indoors, like anyone sane person should!
But oh no, not our greenie cult who think that before today India had the perfect climate.
And, where do you put them now (along with a lot more Spanish, too?) The past is history, railing against your perceived 'greenie cult' changes nothing.
Right now, they're all going indoors into air-conditioned housing. Unfortunately, that means a huge, ever increasing demand for energy.
I'm not in an air conditioned house. Who da fook has an air conditioned house in Ireland?
Perhaps people who've deluded themselves with the greenie cult that has them believe they need aircon.
Ireland's population is insignificant. Again, you haven't answered - where do you put all the Indians who don't want to die from the heat? Or the Chinese? The Indonesians?
It is amusing to watch you rant about the (undefined by you) greenie cult. Kind of like ranting about 'woke' where 'woke' is 'whatever I don't like.' Amiright?
Do people in those countries not have houses? You know people in those countries aren't like free range chickens.
Uhh, apartments maybe? No, they don't run around like chickens - they're crammed into apartments like sardines I guess. So, your answer is, 'let them suffer?' If so, well, that's an answer I don't think they'll be happy with.
Is that your answer - you don't care, I've got mind and it'll be grand for me?
So what's your concern, close quarter living or hear?
You know civilisation have adapted to extreme heat conditions for millennia, the underground qanats systems of Iran are over three millennia old.
There seems to be a very paternalistic, or to use a 19th century imperial phrase, white mans burden about the green agenda.
Here we are today with the Us and and EU imposing tariffs on green technology from Asia while at the same time gaslighting western populations about saving poor people in Asia.
If the climate changes to a deadly one then without widesale engineering people tend to die, Indians didn't plan for 50c temps because they didn't happen.
It's like building a house on a coast expecting it to be good for 100 years only to have it washed away in 10. Thats a scenario which isnt fantastical anymore due to climate change.
All of this is highly significant for us in Ireland because when you can no longer survive at home you move or die - and as an Irish person you should be well aware of that.
Climate change is happening yet if the solution needs to be done urgently and is time sensitive the the Green stance on nuclear power is downright bizzare and hypocritical
the continued crusade against nuclear power and engineering by what is starting to resemble a green tinted cult, which already has reduced CO2 in many countries at a fraction of wind/solar/battery cost starts to look very sus
We have pages and pages in parallel thread of Green people arguing against nuclear science and engineering
How many people exactly die today from heat in India compared to say 50 years ago before the greenie cult?
Again the same facecious question.
Nuclear takes time and resources to build, in the case of Ireland likely 20years. In that time not one ounce of co2 will be saved. Meanwhile gigawatts of renewables would be installed incrementally saving carbon from day one. Nuclear is not a solution for Ireland.
So solving climate change is not important
Thanks for confirmation
Meanwhile UAE build more reactors on time and budget that would have powered this country and then some in under a decade from a complete start
And the Green lunatics wonder why they are being rejected throughout Europe.
It must be absolutely killing them the weathers been utterly tripe this summer. That first day of nice sunny hot weather though and it will be dooooooooooooooooom for us all.
And like all cults eventually they are exposed as lunatics and die out.
One of the big problems in these countries is the lack of trees in urban areas in places like India, Indonesia and other high density population countries.
It's bene proven time and time again, apart from holding soil together in exceptionally wet times, trees keep things cooler by providing shading.
It's one things the green/environmentalists have got right every time, we need more tree cover in cities to help cool them. Unfortunately, leaves, sap, bird droppings, insects seem to affect the paint on cars when hit with them, so we chop down the trees instead. Some cityscapes barely have a splash of green anywhere, so it's not surprising then when real heat hits, people die.
Now whether trees would be any use in insane 50C heat is another thing, but they probably wouldn't hurt either.
It's an easy problem urban expansion needs to grasp, you can see it in towns here in Ireland, barely a tree, even a small one, in some streets. Granted some of our streets are too old and narrow, and some of our population can't help destroying them, but we really should have a lot more than we have.
PS. When planting trees in cities, especially in warmer countries, plant fruit trees, provide people with free sources of food. Win-win.
I explained why nuclear is not a solution for Ireland - you chose to ignore it.
You keep posting rubbish showing your complete lack of understanding as to what climate change actually is.
Maybe one day you'll comprehend the difference between climate and weather....
Ah but killing farming is
Yes thanks for explaining
As I illustrated the Greens here are not actually interested in solving climate change and when pushed come up with arguments that ignore science/ engineering and economics to justify why Ireland can’t cut CO2 in same manner France and half the countries in EU did already
"So what's your concern, close quarter living or hear?
You know civilisation have adapted to extreme heat conditions for millennia, the underground qanats systems of Iran are over three millennia old"
Neither. None of what happened thousands of years ago, had the population that we have today. Close quarters will be the reality - it's just that, it'll be much hotter. Not sure with increasing overpopulation the adaptations will be anything other than 'a large number will live nasty, brutish and short and a smaller number will be fiddling while the Earth burns'
My concern is, too many people.
Is it much hotter?
The Sahara was greener when the climate was hotter, but as temps cooled desertification happened which in turn gave rise to the Nile river civilisation. Humanity adapted.
You have obviously never been to Indian cities, recommending that people eat fruits from trees in some of the most polluted cities in world where most of the time can’t see 100m ahead due to smog is the insane
Meanwhile real scientific and engineering solutions that have shown to reduce CO2 are sneered and argued against by the same green cult
I don't think the urban Island effect is what the doomers are on about. They saying that people in India are dying because we're not killing ourselves to save them.
DoYOURoWnResearch? And yet again, there were a lot fewer people there. Humanity is running an uncontrolled experiment and the results so far are pretty damn bad.
They're getting a good rinsing at the MEP elections.
I have never been to an Indian city, so I can't speak as to the air quality. As for fruit trees, I was speaking about cities in general, regardless of country, where you can, not specifically Indian cities.
The point was, more tree cover in urban environments has been show to help cooling, which may help in heatwaves.
Again the condescension and ignoring of verified scientific research.
Climate change did affect humanity in the past and it adapted, that's a proven fact.
Unless you can prove that climate change never affected the development of humanity and instead it developed in some perfect state.
Your not addressing my point and coming up with some wild justifications to be against renewables. How exactly do renewables destroy farming.
