Separate discussion for the EU election results.
You still don’t get it do you? Daly answers to Irish people (as she now has learned), RTE are one of the many broadcasters we have here who wanted her side of her story
You can put bets that she will be on RT or similar conspiracy theory russian propaganda outlets in under a month, ranting away that she is just misunderstood by the “anonymous” Irish electorate
Whatever about who she was shilling for, she is just a very unlikeable person. Same bracket as that old cow who thinks every Irish person is Racist, despite her being openly racist…..Can't think of her name but she was turfed out not so long ago
LOL sure semantics is always a great defense of a lying disgusting hypocrite. If you read Gavan Reillys tweet that was an outright lie what she said about never talking to media at count centers, you and she seem to invent your own history to suit the reality you want to live in.
I have only slitghtly less disdain for the man in pink only on the basis i share a lot of his love for his Italian team
I share loads of love for euro green 💶 and orange banknotes like this man in pink
I still hold him in disdain 😂
yes
Which one? He's changed allegiances over time. Bit like his politics in that regard
Juventus, don't tell me he's not a fan anymore????? He used to pride himself on being a season ticket holder
He's Torino now and has sung anti-Juve chants in the parliament.
🤣
wowsers………
How the South China Morning Post is reporting it (journalist Finbarr Bermingham - an Enniskillen native)
Research published by Politico showed she was the fifth of 705 MEPs in terms of voting against resolutions critical of Russia in the five years since 2019, with a single vote against out of 16.An analysis of voting records from 2019 by the Czech Association for International Affairs last month found that Independents4Change – a party housing only Daly and Wallace – voted against China-critical resolutions 86 per cent of the time.

Well thats 1 of 2 useful idiots gone.
Ah well. She might get some Shein discounts
That’s one of the most sensible posts I have during my time here. It would indeed provide a credible and law abiding alternative to SF and the Trotskyites PBP etc. It could provide a opportunity to create a new party. I would consider voting for them as their candidates are all usually well educated, articulate and sometimes even academic.
Well, they're either on the take or dumbasses.
Unless you've another explanation for supporting putin?
I think they're dumbasses.
Stop threatening lawsuits, you already sound desperate enough.
What don't I get, you're talking gibberish?
She lost her seat, I expected it, I've no issue with it.
You have no idea of the approaches RTE did or didn't make.
Will she indeed, what outlets would they be now?
Got any evidence to back this allegation?
The thing is is that "green" policies aren't going to be dropped, what were seen as Green Party policies are now mainstream. You don't even have to look too far to see this has been true for the last few years, Dublin City Council is not a green party majority council yet Regina Doherty came out with a bizarre rant blaming them for splitting the city like Berlin because of cycle lanes.
I wouldn't pay much attention to her.
For me, i'm on board with the green agenda and do my small part. The problem is how the greens try and communicate their message. Hopefully they are wiped out and let real politicians try and engage properly with the population on how we best address the issues
I and I suspect majority of the population have no issues with Green policies just like most of us have no issues with Social policies such as welfare
What clearly there are issues with are extreme and often poorly thought out Green policies being shoved down people’s throats
For example Germany spent a trillion euro on Energiewende (a policy of various parties over years) only to endup addicted to cheap Russian gas as wind/solar have serious intermittency issues and need backup and they shutdown clean green nuclear plants and replaced them with … coal leading to average daily German CO2 emissions form power generation being 6x of France next door who decarbonised at a quarter of the cost using nuclear power
While O'Riordan winning the MEP seat is a coup for Labour, they've lost one of their main GE assets as he'd have been strong contender for a seat in Dublin Bay North. I assume he'll actually take up the MEP seat, given the timelines would seem too short for him to make a return for the GE.
Indeed and Bacik constitunency doesn't mean she'll be a cert to retain her seat. FG made a mess of it last time around.
IIRC She seemed to receive a lot of favourable coverage too by some outlets
Richard Bruton and Sean Haughey both retiring after donkeys years, Aodhan off to Europe.
Dublin Bay North has a lot of change coming in the next GE.
Denise Mitchell took home the most 1st preference votes last time around, can she bring in a running mate next time out?
I'm starting to think now that Aodhan may run for the GE. Or does he have the appetite. I don't think the Labour party leadership team operate a la Sinn Fein on how candidates are directed
What time does counting resume down south?
Expand on what you mean by illiterate, with evidence, please :)
Or can I now sue your anonymous account for defamation?
(start digging up)
(and it will also be noticed by everyone that you didn't disavow the support of putin by clare, or yourself)
It'll be a very open constituency for sure. And winning or losing an MEP seat doesn't seem key to me for Bacik \ Labour future. GE seats are.
Question for more in the know…………
If Aodhan was to run in the GE and give up his seat in Europe, but he fails to win a seat in the GE, can he re-take his seat back in Europe.
The logic is absolutely not, that's a stupid question. But one never knows………..
It would be a freeroll if he could
that'd be electoral suicide and he knows it.
win a seat in europe, and refuse to take it? he'd lose a massive amount of votes in the GE.
What not with other like minded MEP's at least try something .
You don't give up the EU seat until elected to the Dáil.
I'm pretty sure there have been MEPs that ran for the Dáil and failed to get in before.
