Aontú are struggling to have candidates that aren't barking mad; and also having to deal with people who think that they're right wing on everything; when, at least, the leadership isn't. Toibin considers himself to be left wing.

They've no candidate near me. Next area over has someone who has her first and only priority for a council seat down as stopping abortion and euthanasia - neither thing a councillor has any control over. Bonkers, but let run for them. She appears to have no other priorities.

They all seem to be more concerned with foreign problems than our own here. Easier look out than look in i suppose. Ya might actually have to do somewhere then.

I've noticed the government have refrained the last few weeks from using the far right label. It became a bit ridiculous after they announced they were cutting social welfare to Ukrainians by 80%.

I will be voting for her because she will be part of the EPP which is largely made up of the pro business Christian Democratic Union of Germany Merkels old party. Other than that I will vote for Andrew’s because he will be part of the Renew group the liberals made up largely of Macrons party. And because Macron is strongly pro Ukraine.

FG have 20+% in Dublin, FG have a one candidate strategy so she's benefitting from that. While she will win a seat, FG are a little nervous because she is such a poor candidate.

You argue against letting the likes of Boylan through the doors of the EU - which is fair enough. But have no issue with Regina Doherty who has the aptitude of a paper bag or Aodhán Ó Ríordáin who based on his recent contributions to the Dail clearly isnt all there.

Also you have basically suggested that Boylan is both corrupt and a criminal, without I would assume any proof?

It's a bit of a strange move from him. I would have thought being a TD in the Dáil would have suited him far more - being in Europe for most of the week would leave him rather remote from Ireland and the debate on immigration.

He'd be expected to actually do some work as a TD. He can get away with not going much as an MEP. Also, he can hoover up all the work class vote in Dublin as an MEP. There aren't many constituencies where that would be the bulk on the vote barring a couple.

Can anyone tell me about Patrick Murphy? I have to admit, I dont know much about Aontu as I would have been traditionally a Fianna Fail voter.
