Starting a thread for 2025 gigs as they'll likely start rolling in.
I'll arbitrarily throw in Rob Beckett playing the Olympia on the 26th September 2025 which went on sale today.
The Offspring announced a new album
Maybe a return to the 3Arena or a St Annes/Malahide Castle gig
Second Date added for Belfast - Friday 28th Feb
Considering Gabrielle was put on at 5:15 at Rewind on Sunday, sandwiched between Hothouse Flowers and Carol Decker, that gives some indication…
Was very surprised to see that, doubt she could even half fill it, she'll need decent support acts for sure
depends on who the promoter is and bunch of other facts. if live nation/mcd want to risk a 3 arena on an artist that usually does a night or two olympia they can if they want and they can somehow make that work for themselves on venue costs. As they own the building they can risk it. Also depends on the 3 arena set up. Could be seated only for 3,800/4000 capacity like they often set up for some comedy shows there. Her production might be low key enough.
Thats not what you were saying last week was it though, when you were saying an Arena show could cost up to 10 times that of a theatre show.
Going from their own venues to renting out 3 arena does add enormous costs per price and could easily add €10-€15 add on between venue rental cost, security costs, production costs required for arena and most importantly the fee guarantee required by the act. The fee required by an artist going from theatre to 3 arena per ticket is always higher. They now have to pay for an arena production, tons more staff, tour buses etc. ie they might require €15k for theatre show for 1,500 but require €200/250k for arena show.
No consistency.
sure live nation own the venue so it’s nothing to them.
Now we're getting somewhere!
Gabrielle playing the 3Arena on Sat March 29th.
She couldn't even sell out 2 nights in the Olympia and they have put her in the 3Arena now.
They must have drastically reduced the rental costs there as they are putting anything in there.
the Jesus lizard in button factory in January
Cheers. Got sorted with that code.
One to look forward to.
Got 2 standing....thanks ...again!! Electric Nitwit
Thanks for that!
Actually, the obvious guess worked

Strange alright. There’s a 3+ and Artist presale. As far as I can see there isn’t an MCD one.
I know, seems stupid but the 3 presale had started already. As had the artist one but that needed a code, don't know what that is I'm afraid
Possibly a silly question but how is there a presale already if it was only just announced? Is that a 3 presale or MCD?
Do any of you fine people have a presale code for Flaming Lips? Thanks
Edit: presale already on, €73.25 standing
flaming lips doing yoshimi in olympia next April

they just announced the reissue/expanded album. That’s all it was ever going to be.
They haven’t dropped any hints they’ll have a reunion, it’s a nonsense article
its a definitely maybe 30 year reissue, no tour
Definitely Maybe but i expect we'll be crying our hearts out. Pure speculation but lots of ££££ on the table for the lads

Oasis "hologram" reunion show rumoured, as apparently Noel loved ABBA hologram show
Didn't know they were still going
'If I Could ' was a staple of Scuzz & Kerrang in the day
He did mention Ireland when talking about this year... I did a quick count of upcoming dates and I think 45ish gigs yet to be listed. I have my ticket for show 3000 😃
