I think D15 really suffers from a lack of central, civic or community spaces. They don't really include them in planning.
I used to go to cub scouts in a hall near the old school. Looking at the satellite view, I think that hall is gone?
Only cub scouts I know has only used the hall Futher along that road. Used to be all the same road before they split it for the bridge.
it was 1986 when i started in cubs so my memory on where the hall was is not exact.

ah, that explains why i couldn't find it at first - it hasn't moved, but the fact the road layout was changed confused me.
Used to be one single country lane. Pretty much in the middle of the countryside. Unrecognisable from today. In my head its a different world.
If you change the date on the StreetView you can see the narrow road from before the link road was built.
Thanks, that's deadly, never noticed that feature before. You'd like to think as things "progress" like all the marketing on recipes of "new and improved" that facilities and amenities get better but it's just not evident.
