I was quoted 15k plus vat for a new 28ft broughan
Looks like toy wheels on that! Could be just 6 stud axles. That front rack wouldn't inspire me either. Probably ok for hay but silage would wreck that imo.
new braughan 28 ft on air over oil with 550 tyres is 18 plus vat
THought they were more expensive
Temu....
That price list is 2021 though. Might have gone up since
All the way from Roundwood. Co.Wicklow.
New to me purchase.
Will you fit brakes to it?
Drum brakes are there. They just need to be reconditioned or replaced. probably will get them done.
Brought it today with a machine on,(just locally) and as is it doesn't bully the tractor but they would be a help.
Softest part of the Case Maxxum or NH T60xx are the brakes. Having any trailer with no brakes would be a no no for me. Having said that the tipping trailer here needs them done.
Can anyone recommend an electric power washer for general purposes like washing paths and driveways etc.?
Already have a PTO one for the big clean in the shed.
I had an electric one that had a 'maximum working pressure' of 3000 PSI. I don't know what this means though.
However, there seemed to be two power settings. Often when I'd hold the handle it would be a lower pressure and then if I quickly let the nozzle go and hold it again it would ramp up to a higher pressure. I don't know if this is some kind of feature for a short burst at the max pressure or not. But the higher pressure is the one I always used…the lower pressure wasn't great for cleaning paths for example unless held very close.
Not looking for a petrol one as they seem to be more expensive and easier for less technical to just plug and play an electric one.
Turn down the revs on the PTO and you can change the nozzle on the lance to let out more water. This will drop the pressure
Would people recommend getting petrol pressure washers serviced annually? Just have a handy one 6.5hp
Depends how much work it does, if it's being used all year round it's probably a good idea, but I wouldn't bother if it's only busy a few days a year a service every few years would do it then.
Where would I go to get it serviced..as in what kind of place would do it? Also do people bother servicing strummers and lawnmowers or is that overkill to do that?
if they are well know brands and you paid good money for them then I'd be inclined to look after them. take them back to where you bought them for a service
Local hire centre or possibly your local dairy engineering services, but not a lot to a DIY service either.
Anyone have a manual for a JD 50 series? Fuse burnt I don't know what it's meant to be powering?
My ride -on lawn mower was giving trouble lately, apparently there's a computer governed level on it that stops the engine when there's a danger of overturning, and it became oversensitive..
It gives a warning beep before stopping the engine and was always beeping
Health and safety gone mad,
Sounds like health and safety gone faulty, the logic seems sound but maybe the implementation needs work.
Might have to get a rollbar and get the sensor reprogrammed😂😂
massive hill in the graveyard, dealer said that he never had to reprogram those before, they must all work onlevel lawns,
what kinda money is a new tedder from the likes of lely or krone? let’s say a 16ft type one. are ye taking 7-8k or 13-15k type money or what?
The big ones are 22 now
I remember buying my 6 rotor 5 years ago for 11k inc
10000 would buy a lovely 55ft second hand
I want to completely remove the front loader from my jd6600, the 2 hydraulic pipes attached into the rear are threaded in, can I just blank them or does the slice of the hydraulics need to be removed also?
😀 I am some fields I wouldn’t be able to extend it out fully on….
Only new I am interested in as it would be grant supported.
I would have expected 3 hoses connected to your valve chest. Have you a picture?
No, just 2 pipes, they run front to the valve chest mounted on side of loader bracket.
