3 won't provide the boot space if that's a chief concern. Half what you listed would be better. So on that basis the model Y would be more sensible that waiting for a pointless update.
I'd say the real storage space is a bit more, probably 460L when including rear underfloor. Frunk is 50L. Still considerably less than a model 3.
Teslas quoted storage figures are deceptive as they include underfloor space/side pocket storage. For the Model Y their claimed figures are measure volume up to the glass and back of the headrests/roof liner, like a right angle triangle.
Every other manufacturer measures storage volume to the bottom of the parcel shelf, excluding underfloor storage.
Rest assured, Musk doesn’t come with the car. So you’ll survive 😃
Rumours of facelift MY in 2025 alright.
Still reckon I’d prefer the current MY with the stalks for the indicator and drive. Not fancying having it all on the wheel.
I’m a bmw driver. Everyone knows we don’t use indicators anyway so I wouldn’t even notice they’re missing 😂
Software update 2024.14.8 installed today. This is FSD v12.3.6. Surprised to see this released in Europe, thought it was only for the US.
So the same stack but geo-nerf'd in Europe?
Do you have EAP?
I got 14.8 this morning with EAP too on the M3. My brothers MY got it too but his does not have EAP.
No EAP, just the standard software package.
Got it as well, MYRWD. Looks like a nice improvement, full screen looks great.
I noticed in the changelog that they've added a speed camera chime and average speed zone support. I take it it will only be able to know ones known on the map.
Average speed requires navigation to work according to the additional info in the settings.
MY RWD 231 8.9 software apparently is up to date.
For anyone looking for a decent moulded, fitted set of mudflaps instead of crap Tesla give you, here’s an option. Took 15 mins to fit today.
Apparently €6K reduction on the Y in Germany.
Its a €6k discount on inventory stock until the end of the month
Yea but apparently there's thousands of vehicles available so a great opportunity to buy one stupidly cheap.
Also if you keep dropping the price at the end of every quarter people will eventually just hold off for the lower price and won't pay the "normal" price.
I wonder if something similar will happen here again this quarter (obviously to a lower scale).
Tesla will only offer discounts on existing orders if there is a general price cut as opposed to discounts offered on Inventory. Inventory discounts are used to clear any unsold cars before the quarter end date. Obviously anyone with a car on order is free to buy a car from inventory and cancel their existing one ..but that is how it works.
They always do for general car sales. Once you pick up in the same time period you can swap from your order to the inventory car.
The problem here is that there’s rarely enough inventory cars available.
Do you not lose your deposit by doing that?
Nope. Your deposit is fully refundable.
I didn't get mine back doing that last year!
You need to email them quoting the specific section of the T&C’s within the order agreement.
I got one deposit back after I cancelled an order and also got another back after I changed to a CPO car in inventory.
Unless, you booked a test drive and purchased off the basis of that test drive?
Email sales_@telsa.com, use your order number. They will tell you it non refundable so then email contactuk@tesla.com with the following email.
When I placed the order it clear states on the order page non- refundable for order cancellations ,except when statutory cancellation rights apply. As this purchase agreement was entered into mean of distance communication with refund. This is also stated on page 5 of the order agreement entitled Region specific provision.
I plagiarised this from a note I made of a previous post
Got an email from Tesla this morning offering free supercharging for 20,000 kilometres. Just have to order and take delivery of a new Tesla by the end of June.
anyone know how the 3G network being shut down will affect Tesla’s ?
I thought they were 4G. Mine certainly displays LTE.
It shouldn't because most of the US shutdown over the last 2 years starting in 2022. Haven't heard of a Tesla impact.
Sounds like a year expiry as their bumper to bumper warranty is 80k over 4 years, could be sweet if you are close to a SuC or regularly pass by one, especially as the speed of charge is so high, my last 3 SuC stops have all been less than 10mins
not sure to be honest I was going by a news report where the person interviewed specifically mentioned Teslas as operating on 3gz more FUD I guess. Thanks for the reply
