day splits and acts added
Stage times tomorrow per Instagram…
Does anyone know if Sunday resale tickets will be available on Ticketmaster? Thanks
Sunday tickets up there now
Also announcing the surprise B2B act later today…. Hmm
Daniel Avery B2B Imogen
Sunday is an amazing line-up imo
I've to go through the festival playlist, but seems very techno (and grime) heavy already
Plenty of variety in the electronic music to my eyes, not as much techno as some bills I’ve seen (bass music and grime in there alright - I rarely get to see those DJs “live” so really looking forward to the likes of Neffa-T). The likes of DJ Seinfeld and Four Tet are a very different sound. Daniel Avery could take things in many directions… And if you’re looking for some 90s house, Sally C on Saturday for the win.
When are the stage times announced???
Saturday at 12
That's crazy late. The festival starts at Saturday 3pm. Terrible for us planning our acts to see.
I’m joking. It’s being announced this evening
Just from my listening, it seems like bar the headlines, it's mostly grime, juggle and techno. Or am I missing something?
My "non-techno/jungle/grime" and "non-headliner" list would include… Barry Can't Swim, DJ Seinfeld, DJ Boring, Hagop Tchaparian, Honeyluv, Interplanetary Criminal, Le Boom, Sally C, Daniel Avery
There's more on the line-up that you could debate the genre of or I'm not familiar with as well I'd say.
It may just be my genre classification differs from that of others :)
Freddie Gibbs vs. Sally C - noooooooo!!! On the plus side, I'll go see Nia Archives
Apart from that, can't wait for Saturday to come
For Clashfinder fans: https://clashfinder.com/s/ffruit24/
Sally C is house music all the way - 90s vibes. Check
Earlier on Saturday, I'll likely be at George Riley (RnB I guess?) and Paris Texas (rap with guitars)
I'd like to see Freddie Gibbs but will more likely be at Sally C and it's dance music all the way for the rest of the festival for me then I'd say.
I dunno if it's just me, but wouldn't consider her house.
Shame LeBoom are clashing with Bicep. Wanted to see both. Though glad to be able to see both Groove Armada and Bicep after. More tempted to see Overmono over Four Tet but don’t know too much about either. From a few listens, Four Tet seem too chilled for a final act for a festival but maybe they’ll take it up a few notches for a festival.
Hope Sally C will be 90’s house. She seems to play different genres. Is there any deep house acts (like Digweed) on the bill worth checking out? We have zero interest in rap, r n’b and grime. Probably showing our age!
sally c is house, saw her a few times recently
Thanks for that. Yeah I usually listen to a live set on YouTube over their album stuff on Spotify to get a feel.
I'm more tempted to see Overmono over Four Tet too. I just can't really get into Four Tet. I'm usually a big fan of chill too.
Actually Four Tets latest set on YouTube is really good. Hope he plays something similar.
Looks like it's either Guinness or Rockshore. Terrible options for a festival.
sure everyone drinks Guinness nowadays. People’s favourite
If anyone is heading to see Sally C for the after party on Sat night and Barry Can’t Swim for Sunday’s after party, the venue has switched from Index to Pygmalion Vaults.
Apparently the dance floor is tiny in pygmalion. How do they intend to fit everyone in! Index is a much bigger venue. Is there a larger dance space for big nights at Pygmalion or will we be like sardines?!
That's correct. Pygmalion downstairs is tiny and awful for a gig. A lot of people won't be able to see the acts, and will be outside the dancefloor area, essentially in the regular bar area.
Barry can’t swim will be playing in restuarant area so more room for that one
It's a long time since I've been to a day festival. I know you obviously can't bring in alcohol, but can you still bring a backpack and say things like food? Or is it more like going to a gig in the 3?
no back packs. Only a4 envelope sized “tote bags” allowed. Doubt food allowed as on site food trucks
