It is made by BYD aka Build Your Dreams. Hope it comes here and that they change the name before it does,
This could really challenge the Tesla Model 3.
It looks great inside and out
Its tricky enough to find you actually have to have the station displayed and not the list
Was it easy to load Brian
Thank you very much, eko. My boyracer days are dimly in the rear view mirror too,so no worries there. I ll definitely get a test drive and will bear your comments in mind.
Cheers yllw. Appreciate your feedback and help.
Thanks for that, rainsummer.
Process:
The package I got was from one of the iCloud shares listed here:
https://pastebin.com/526mcFar
You can find the firmware images here as well.
You can validate the file is not corrupt by checking the md5sum is be8c50fabed8fff23e8ca87132f24d12
be8c50fabed8fff23e8ca87132f24d12
Worth checking the file after you copy it to the USB drive.
That md5 matches the files on the iCloud share mentioned by RainInSummer above.

And to note…. directory names are case sensitive - follow them exactly as posted above
D:\BYDUpdatePackage\msm8953_64\UpdateFull.zip
Where D is your device
Just to note I spotted a mistake in the UpdateFull.zip naming above and edited it to the correct naming.
Just in case anyone tried it based off my first unedited post. A space crept in to the file name.
Does it make any difference what platform you download to file to, I work on a IMac, or is it only windows. I take it its the top zip file 2403
Looked up the black seal awd for sale in Cork. He is asking for €47,750.00. Would be interesting to know why he is getting rid of it so soon
I believe he had a bad experience with the car but now all fixed and he's looking to trade down for personal reasons.
Have noticed since the v1.12 upgrade the speeding beeps dont kick in as soon and the lane assist isnt trying to pull me into a car coming the other way like it was so thats a big improvement
Hello Guys!
I wait for my seal awd what is in the dealershop and they have a trouble because before they present for me try to do the first revision and during the sw update the battery drained (not connected to the charger) and the car get stuck in update not communicate with service computer anymore. My question is if anyone heard or see this situation and what was and how long to fix it? They said received a new sw from China but still not working, I getting crazy about this, paid already for this car a full price and God know when can take it home.
I feel he will have to take a bigger hit than that to offload quickly.
I did mine on a Mac too.
The video is here: Note that the file names will be different.
You have to hit the left arrow to the left of All Channels.
****. Sorry to hear about your troubles.
Going by his Facebook posts he was repeatedly getting error messages coming on the dash which BYD Cork were struggling to sort. The replacement atto then also started giving trouble.
A lovely looking car and seen it around the locality. Don't personally know the guy.
Anyone given a thought to what they'll replace the factory tyres with when the time comes.
I'm far from a performance car expert but the EcoContact 6 don't feel great to me.
lads, what I thought would be very straight forward is giving me some jip. Tried several sticks. All FAT32 formatted. Can someone check the file size and content in the lower directory and compare to mine below please? This is for the 13.1.33.2307210.1. downgrade file. I did rename this exact file to UpdateFull.zip.
When I insert the drive, it is recognized, but all that happens is that the system writes multiple directories to the drive. I cannot see WTF I’m doing incorrectly.
It looks like you've uncompressed the zip file. The bottom screen is what you get when you double click the zip.
Can't get mine to work were is the space in the name. I can see it on the file manager in the car.
No. I just opened it separately to display files for the screenshot.
Got it.
I was naming the file UpdateFull.zip. Removed the .zip (as windows recognizes that it is a zip file) and away she went. So….
BYDUpdatePackage/msm8953_64/UpdateFull
In effect, naming it UpdateFull.zip would result in a compressed file with a name UpdateFull.zip.zip even though you will not see this.
I think the above is correct but far smarter people here will confirm or refute!
I agree If he wants a quick sale he will definitely have to do beter than €47,750.00
By default in Windows, file extensions are hidden. This is why you will get the double extension when you name a file with the extension included. You can turn on file extension visibility in Windows from the Explorer View tab in the Show/Hide section on the top right.
Fuming .zip
Removed the .zip and is working now thanks.
I absolutely hate that windows has extensions hidden by default. It's been a bugbear of mine for decades.
It really should be the other way around.
It's the first change I make with every windows device.
