Although I would agree, if someone is not comfortable troubleshooting firmware updates they should just wait for the OTA
The factory reset doesn't roll back the firmware, on mine I had the original 230721, and had a OTA to 231018 when I got it home had to press the factor rest to see what would happen 🙄 and it didn’t roll back.
Key point is the EU law compliance and the one in circulation could be the Australian 2403, not sure though.
It's not, 2403 is global. Identical firmware that has rolled out in other non Asian/ Australian countries via OTA.
Just had a thought. Dangerous that. Did you delete a bunch of voices when you first took the car?
I did when I was offered updates on them all. Reckoned I'd never need them so I uninstalled all the foreign languages and kept English only.
I did exactly the same but I have navigation audio working fine, no issues since day one.
Loaded my music onto the SD card and when I play a track it just continually plays, no shuffle option or even playing the next track, just continues over and over again playing the same track. Is this a software bug or common to everyone. Noticed someone on BYD owners facebook page had the same issue using USB stick, thought it was just me not finding the shuffle option but seemingly not.
people still load music onto physical mediums…. 😮

My navigation audio works when google assistant is active. Might be the same with the karaoke. You may just have to sing when you're lost
Mine has the button to repeat or shuffle etc, using a micro sd touch the symbol and it changes
Yes I deleted the languages all right but it nav wasnt working before that anyway
Have music on an sd card and a usb stick as well which is plugged into the data port. Both work fine play continually no problem. Had them in the Audis for years so still use them now as the have all the stuff I am into on them anyway
Ya mine has that too but when I tried it , it still just repeated the one track, may try it again tomorrow, had tried that button at the end of track and it repeated it, might let it replay the full track next time and see does it work
The speed alerts are almost inaudible now. Same with the reverse distance beeps. Nearly preferred 2310.

The speed alerts are perfect now.
If I want them I use Waze. Today was the first time I enjoyed driving the car without having to disable the traffic sign recognition. It's made a huge difference.
how could you miss the speed alert sound ? It still flashes in front of you It is great having it the way it is now at least for me.
Different strokes for different folks I suppose. Keep in mind I am sure there will be further refinements with more OTA. It looks like the tweak for the FM alt frequency has made a noticeable difference to the FM reception. Overall for me far more positive than negative
My radio is still awful. Haven't tried retuning though. Any special magic or?

Loaded 2403 last night, thanks @yllw.ldbttr . The only gripes I had with the car have now gone.
Hopefully gone are the days of swiping screens before leaving the house only to go into a shop 5 mins later, come out, drive off, hear the beeps, swipe screen while driving to turn off again. Pain in the arse.
Instant wireless Apple carplay now also.
Reverse distance beeps now lower but still audible and gets louder as you near object.
Speed alert flashes as always to let you know you are speeding but that's cool.
Delighted with it and have not seen a downside yet (only updated last night).
Going to downgrade tonight, sideload some stuff, and then upgrade. Anyone see any issue jumping a version as opposed to letting the OTA install current version and then upgrading via USB? Can't see issue skipping the OTA myself.
I was not too keen on doing that. I read somewhere that OTA's will not come if you are more than 2 updates behind. Less risk if updating forward rater than backward was my logic

When I downgraded I sideloaded my apps and then immediately the OTA took me back to 2310.
For the sake of the extra 20 mins I would go through the sequence of 2307 to 2310 to 2403.
Might be safe to go direct but not sure, I don't think I'd risk it.
Good to know that the OTA immediately recognized prior version and initiated the upgrade to 2310. Agreed. No point in tempting faith I suppose.
