where have you seen that?
Word is he is correct
Usyk weight was read incorrectly he's 223lbs
Are you suggesting the weights are incorrect, and Usyk did not weigh 233? Wouldn’t that then have to involve deception/collusion with the boxing authorities?
There is absolutely no way that Usyk is 12lbs heavier than last fight. He's playing games in my opinion.
I can't get Fury's last fight out of my head. Although he looks in considerably better shape, I do wonder if all that fluctuating has caught up to him.
wilder putting on the weight wasn’t the fail at all. He did very well in that fight, gave himself the best chance and had Fury down twice. Fury is just much better
No chance. Cordina gets the stoppage
Anyone giving Cacae much chance against Cordina. Can't really see it myself.
I went back and rewatched a few of both men's previous fights. In fairness to him, Joshua pushed Usyk close in the rematch. Right man won but it's a lie to say Usyk won comfortably. Fury did himself so much damage with the Ngannou fight, it's so hard to know if what he once had is no longer there.
No. I mean, there are IBO and WBU, but WBO in 1999 was proper legitimate, albeit not as established as other three belts. In 1999 it was a 4 belt era. Still a 4 belt era today. WBU is not in the running.
By that logic it mean you don’t consider Bernard Hopkins undisputed at middleweight because he didn’t win the WBU belt at the time.
Doesn’t matter. Officially it was legitimate and “recongnised” as a world belt
I think the WBO was lightly regarded back then.
Just on this undisputed HW champion. It’s actually 37 years since last undisputed champion; Mike Tyson defeating Tucker, and then in 1988 defeating Spinks for lineal as well. LL never held WBO belt in 1999, or ever.
Surprised to see the pictures of Usyk after hearing his weight, he still looks solid. Must've had some lead in his pockets.
I think Fury will most likely grind out a points win but really hope I'm wrong. Would love to see Usyk beat him
wilder tried gaining weight to tackle fury and that was a fail, gaining so much since dubois surprised me but Usyk obviously knows what he’s doing
at the charity auction after the weigh in fury bought Usyk’s shorts from Gassiev fight for $10k
I give up trying to figure people out
yea I was checking the weights and I think he came in twice at 221.5 for Joshua. 233 is a fair jump had to be deliberate. Be interesting to know the idea there. Did he comment on it himself? I’ve just turned on sky news to see
Difficult to know. Maybe he’s just comfy at this weight and didn’t really try weigh a certain weight..he has been 224/225 before, so maybe not as significant an increase as I mentioned earlier.
Edit: no, his heaviest career was 221.25
maybe but I don’t think he should compromise speed or stamina much.
I don’t think the 12 or so extra lbs from his last fight will mean much. He may even be little slower on feet. But you’d wonder why such a significant weight increase. Has me thinking he might want to make it a little more difficult for Fury to man-handle him in the clinch/maul.
He won't be able to do what he did to Joshua because fury can actually box. I see fury winning on points, just grinding USYK down in the clinch, constantly leaning on him and just jabbing him all night.
I don't think the extra stone usyk put on will make any difference in the clinch, because of the sheer body size difference plus when they step in the ring tomorrow the weight difference will be even bigger in Fury's favour than it was on the scales tonight
Yes, the liver in his jockstrap, to some!!!
wait till in the ring and will look even more pronounced
Both look ready to go to me. Interesting Usyk a bit heavier than I expected. Wonder how it will effect his power and speed.
well it’s not 12lb of fat because he’s solid as a rock and it would be more noticeable
After seeing that weigh in and the sheer size difference I am leaning towards fury, I was up in the air before. Obviously he is bigger but when it's front of you like that it really shows by how much
I reckon Usyk has had a steel plate installed to protect the liver 😁
Usyk may be wanting himself bit heavier/sturdier to handle clinch and mauling better.
so Fury thinks his best bet is to be a little lighter and Usyk thinks his best bet is to be a good bit heavier. Didn’t expect that from Usyk
Muscle? I didn’t see 12 lbs muscle really. 12 lbs a weight is all
