The Circle K website says the next Circle K along the Dungarvan by-pass (no link but eircode X35 XT71) is also listed as having EV charger(s) but no details.
How much does a full or thereabouts charge cost in circle k
That's the Circle K/Daybreak at the Nissan dealership. It had a singe Chademo charger run by the dealer that hasn't worked since around about the summer of 2022 and never got replaced
I thought the dealership gave up on EVs but it seems they are taking on the ORA brand soon so maybe they just gave up on the Nissan brand of EVs
Do these chargers not play nice with MGs? was charging in fermoy sunday and two MG4s pulled in and neither could get started charging on different stalls that appeared to be working ok
It depends on the size of your battery. Per kWh they are the same price as ecars at 68c/kWh so a 24kWh leaf would cost €16.32 and the 120kWh battery of a Mercedes EQS 450+ would cost €81.60
I think those are the biggest and smallest batteries available so that's your range
I've used the Fermoy ones several times with my MG4 with no issues.
(from the new charger thread)
Two 300kW units spotted at the Circle K at the Artane Roundabound in Dublin today, not sure if they're live yet, but not showing on the various apps ... yet!
i think this is correct location but it's only a guess
Position needs a slight update…
Circle K at junction 15 N4 westbound at Mullingar
The other Circle K in Dungarvan (near one of the many many roundabouts) Eircode X35 VX06 has 2 chargers now installed but there are covers over them so not ready yet.
Is there an up to date map of the Circle K network? I tried their website but it's pretty out of date and also they list all the stations with ESB or Ionity chargers (nice bit of creative accounting)
I was pretty critical if them last year but their rollout seems to be going at a good pace
Another planning application for 4EV charging spaces 2xHYC300 from Hypercharger , Circle K Cabra DCC reference 3299/24
Plugshare app lists all brands including coming soon non live ones. I tend to update it daily. It's hard to filter by brand. If you lookin the boards.ie new charger thread you can get an idea of new sites but I tend to only put up 100% live sites there. This thread should list most sites.
Below is dungarvin one
Potential flaw found
Pulled in to charge at Fermoy the other day and was unable to get a charge on one of the chademo plugs
It might be a case that because there was a car charging on the right-hand-side CCS as you look at it and the chademo might be linked in some way to not allow a charge
Small thing but possibly worth bearing in mind
Yeah I'm pretty sure the two plugs on the right are linked, so if the right hand CCS is being used the Chademo is disabled
However the left CCS should be independent
Strange setup, you'd think it wouldn't matter
Waterford (not yet live but in place)

Upgrade
Circle K Clonshaugh being upgraded to 8x 300kW units
Will be a HUGELY important site…
Circle K Clonshaugh being upgraded to 4x 300kW chargers (8 bays).
Hugely strategic location for so many reasons.. (airport, M1/50, port etc…)
About f**king time!
Great location, it'll make charging a lot easier for people going to and from the airport
I expect that location will be a good money maker for Circle K
When was planning application lodge? 2020-2021 or thereabout ?
I have an email from them dated June 10th 2022 states the following;
Hello, We hope to have the charger in J5 Carlow available in the coming weeks. We still have some works to complete there with regards to the upgrade of the Electricity supply. Some of the works have been delayed due to the sourcing of materials, however we hope to be live by the end of summer. We currently have 3 more sites in various stages of build. Two charging stalls in Fermoy on the M8 Two charging stalls in City Avenue Dublin Four charging stalls in Clonshaugh on the M50 / M1 intersection. The latter two are still in the planning process and due to network capacity challenges will be slightly later to finish then Fermoy or Junction 5. We are also actively looking at expanding the Circle K network into other key motorway service areas and large transport hubs. Thanks for contacting us Kind Regards, Sarah
I think it’s also 4 chargers not 8…. But should be charging for 8 cars
Might be down the south east later this month, does anybody know if the chargers in Dungarvan Gallowshill are active yet? Plugshare still shows them as "Coming Soon" despite being in place since December
That'll be a taxi driver paradise soon then
Popped into this site earlier to have a quick look while passing. I really like that the new units will be in their own dedicated space, separate from the existing car /truck parking and so should be less prone to ICE'ing.
That's not unusual it seems. Plenty more 'coming soon' for months longer than those.
They were still covered last weekend, May 11th.
They weren't last Sunday when I passed. Can't be too much longer as the ESB recently finished their bit across the road and they are usually what holds up commissioning.
Yep. A good few apartment blocks 5 mins down the road too. Hopefully with that many/that speed, it would have a few free spaces or high turnover leading to low wait times.
e: for Clonshaugh
8 x 300kW being installed in clonshaugh near Dublin airport / M1. Old esb charger still there
