Imagine trying to get down those stairs with a bad hangover 😧
I’m sure a lick of paint would help tone some of it down. I’ve a headache after seeing a couple of those photos.
I love it. All the paintings seem to be by Bob Ross (or maybe "school of" Bob Ross). In pic 11: they removed the Sacred Heart picture but left the sanctuary lamp, so it can be replaced immediately.
Shining Vibes from this one,
3 bathrooms with a walk in closet also The shower unit is also interesting:

but i would not mind it , Loughrea is a town full of pubs at least
There was hallway, house is too narrow, only 1 room wide. That's original.
Front Room. Rear Elevation.
Correct. An unenclosed stair, as in an open plan layout is permissible - but not where the stairs discharges into the kitchen, or passes within 3m of a kitchen.
They're all at that now and using cgi of furniture to show what the house could look like along with changing the colour of the sky in the exterior photos.
It's amazing that they seem to fit a double bed, 2 bedside tables, chest of drawers etc into a tiny bedroom. They must be hobbit sized.
Looks like the EA Photoshopped in the flames in the fireplaces. Theres no reflection from them in the hearth tiles, nor glow in the fireplace, and they look odd. This is what happens when people are let loose with generative AI tools.
really weird that the element is vertical rather than horizontal. dont think i've seen that before.
I feel the same when I see these types of houses. That was obviously a well loved and cared for home. Pics 4-7 remind me of my in laws and the his and hers chairs on either side of the open fire.
It looks like the EA borrowed a wreath and used it to add colour to the photos. I'm surprised it wasn't placed on top of the washing machine in pic 10.
Seems he died in 2021 and she died July last year, Makes sense as it's 6 months or more to execute an estate.
Flowers are odd, maybe on the way to another funeral? Not sure why the auctioneer put them in.
The heating element thing was the height of tech when that house was built. I rented a room in a house in college and they all had them. Essentally a large element of the type you'd find on a 3 bar heater. Dangerously hot and sucks the life out of the electric grid. Control is below the heater which makes it more awkward to use. They were a fad for a few short years until we copped on to them.
The funeral wreath - did the owner's executors put the house on the market as soon as the hearse pulled out?
Did the EA move the same wreath around for the photos or did the undertaker not bother to put them in the hearse?
It's bizarre.
An old electric heater.
That looks like a heating element
Houses like this one always give me a pang of sadness, it has obviously been someone's very well cared for home for many years. The funeral wreath pictured in multiple rooms doesn't help. What I really want to know though is what is this thing on the wall in pic 15. It is surrounded by the same tiles/brickwork as the fireplace downstairs. A thermometer of some sort??

I quite like that. It's a decent space for the price both inside and out. A good decluttering and the patience to paint and decorate room by room and you'd have a lovely house. Location and the cold might be the major drawbacks assuming it's structurally sound.
That's been so cheaply put together, it's a shame.

Not the best schoolhouse conversation by a long shot, still needs a lot of work (BER E2). Massively overpriced I would say for what it is and where it is located (it is in the middle of nowhere).
The fridge itself is in an awkward spot as well. It can be an issue in historic homes that weren't designed for a modern kitchen layout, but personally I'd have sacrificed a bit of counter space to put the fridge on the same wall as the oven and gone with some additional cabinetry or a nicer freestanding cupboard with a door on the wall by the doorway to the dining room.
Yes, I'd imagine so.
Apparently the people who bought the Murder House from AHS Season 1, (Rosenheim Mansion) in 2015, didn't know it was in the show and ended up suing the realtors over it, for not telling them it was a tourist attraction for AHS fans.

I would not want to live there and its not my style for a home, but its beautiful, its amazing the difference between a genuine, well preserved old house with original furniture and the pastiche attempts usually seen. Agree about the shelves in the kitchen, also the very odd look of the sleek white chairs clustered round the hob island.
Was there a few weeks ago. Nightmare to live in. Tourists outside your house every day looking in. Beautiful part of the city though.
Yep, surely they could have stretched to a cupboard with a door?
Amazing house though and I loved the few old photos mixed in with the new ones.
Gorgeous. Don’t the product shelves beside the fridge look particularly garish in this beautiful setting?
Any "American Horror Story" fans here? You'll recognise this house.
The Buckner Mansion, in New Orleans, aka "Miss Robichaux's Academy" from AHS: Coven, is for sale.
Its the Bushmills house that is E, the octagonal house is B3.
I like quirky houses but I am a bit suspicious of the fact that only the kitchen is shown indoors on the octagonal house, the grounds are lovely, apart from the ramshackle porch on the back. Neither the postcode nor the map is correct.
It says BER of B3 on the listing. I'm finding that hard to align with what I'm seeing.
That is beautiful but Bushmills is honestly, one of the scariest towns I've ever driven through, it was just after the 12th of July so it might have been worse than normal tho.
And the whole 'soft focus' thing is supposed to make it more appealing, whereas its just annoying (the bushmills house).
I thought that myself when I saw the photos. Lovely camerawork but you can't hide a BER of E. It would be baltic in the winter.
Idyllic setting but It looks like not a great house to live in.
