Was 750 without, which was still a big jump from what he was used to.
Similar power in both? Although I think it's the repair costs of the Y that make it expensive to insure.
We had no increase the first year going from a Passat to a Y. But this year's premium has increased by around 30% as insurers start to discover it's costing them money.

He has had cars in the past that have been more expensive with decent performance and usually paid 500 max with named drivers, has over 40 years driving experience and never made a claim. He bit the bullet and it wasn't the end of the world just a big jump for what he had been paying for years and his main issue was finding someone to actually quote. It was worth it considering the value for money he was getting in the model y.
Shop around next year maybe. I’m with Allianz and the premium drops once your below €45k value.

Received the Adobe Sign SEAI EV grant questionnaire doc. There's no way to edit it to complete the questionnaire and the signature is in the wrong place - no response from Tesla. Anyone else had similar?
Do I need to buy any additional cables or charging adapters before I get the Model 3 delivered? I've got an untethered Zappi at home where I hope to do the vast majority of my charging. Not many superchargers on my main routes so would want the option of charging at Ionity / ESB.
Cars are supplied with all charging cables and a granny charger also so you should be good to go!

Car will be equipped with necessary cables, just be aware that the type 2 cable is fairly short, about 4 or 5 metres, so ensure long enough for your untethered home charge point.
All fast chargers, Ionity ESB Applegreen etc, are tethered.
Does the USB in glove box come with a model Y ? Or is this an American thing ? Just wanted to have one ready for the day of collection.
There will be a Tesla USB in the glovebox, worth a check for sure but included in delivery
Thames Highway brought 300 model Y's today.
More than a half of them are white, a good few (maybe 100) are black and blue, and about 10 are quicksilver.
@Latro where have you gotten that info from? That would be great news fingers crossed for a delivery date now

@Happy_Harry I called Tesla and they confirmed that the MY I ordered is in country, still about 2 weeks before I collect it though. Also confirmed that the revenue registration code is not an issue with my order so there should be no further delays. Light at the end of the tunnel.
I am getting mine through Leaseplan and they just keep telling me Tesla will be in touch ( and delivery in a couple of weeks)..I ordered the old grey color in February and it would be a very nice bonus if it turns out I get a QS..
Did they say anything about the actual registration plate number? It may have been covered here before - are there interior floor mats on delivery of the MY? Collecting mine, RWD Black, Saturday week (25th).
No, they didn't say anything, other than that Tesla will be in touch to arrange the swap over and to expect this to happen week starting 25 May. I don't know about floor mats, as I presume the car comes with Leaseplan supplied mats

All Y/3 come with the standard car mats. They are the typical cheap material. But mine in 2 years now and still look fine.

We had a grey changed to the Quiksilver so delivery moved to Jun/July so we changed to black (MY in both) - the Quicksilver looks really good.
Drove past the Dublin collection centre earlier today and there are hundreds of MY ready for collection

That's not a quicksilver, it's an old model , presumably to go on "used" sale, in fact I'm pretty sure they are all old models, deffo the first two on the bottom and first three on top
All Teslas on this truck are brand new model Y's that have just arrived on the 15th to Dublin port. These particular ones were being moved to Tesla hub in Baldonell after they were removed from the ship.
All of them had vins with strings RC4 just before serial number which suggests: R - model year - 2024, C - Produced in Shanghai, 4 - 4th batch of 100,000.
I'm not an expert on Tesla colors so I really don't know, but this particular silver unit on the photo was listed as quicksilver in the description.
Lovely alloys beneath the ugly though efficient caps?
