I know nothing about how business procedures work, but my understanding is that Pizza Eile is no longer trading. Its assets have been transferred to a new company and it's being wound up. I imagine Revenue gets most, if not all, of what's available to the creditors.
Another creditor is one of the still operating GBB pubs - Rua Brew Pub Ltd. Supplies being loaned would be a guess there.
This has to be tending towards trading insolvent surely?
Separate. It's just the pubs listed earlier in the thread. The brewery is actually one of the creditors 🙃 It seems the pubs' ownership has already been transferred to a new company.

The list of creditors is phenomenal. It looks like everyone you use when running a pub. They must have been paying none of their bills. I'd say a few of the listed breweries can ill-afford not to be paid.
I've not noticed any. I have seen imported products with the logo stuck on, which has always been an option but some people seem to think is impossible.
Against the Grain has already closed, and already reopened as a non-craft pub called Pub (well, its in Irish).
Black Sheep was sold overnight to someone else and reopened already as the same thing. Not sure what's going on with Brew Dock. At least one in Galway was also sold pre-pack like that.
Galway is an odd one when it comes to trends. Despite being supposedly "hip & cool" it seems to me to be behind the curve with the exception of restaurants of which there is a huge number and variety of high quality places.
I would assume Galway Bay kinda smothered any gaps for other craft beer in the city. 4 pubs (including Bierhaus) was a healthy amount.
It's been a while since I was out in Galway for beers, but from memory The Blue Note has made vague moves to increasing it's craft beer selection. After that, I don't think so. Caribou was excellent, but closed due to rents being increased.

EDIT: From the Galway sub-reddit, Kieran Wallace of Interpath Advisory was appointed as interim examiner to Pizza Eile Ltd. This company is behind six pubs including three in Dublin: The Brew Dock on Amiens St in Dublin 1, the Black Sheep on Capel Street in Dublin 1 and Against the Grain on Wexford Street in Dublin 2. In Galway, the pub group owns The Oslo Bar on Upper Salthill Road, The Salt House on Raven Terrace and The Dew Drop Inn on Mainguard Street
Whatever about the Dublin bars, x3 bars closing in one go in Galway would be tough going.
Tried the Hope seasonal summer beer yesterday. A very pleasant and fresh hazy New England style. Not always a fan of this kind of thing but I'd buy again.

The Russian market taking Irish craft in at a reasonable volume was always an odd one; what made them particularly like Irish stuff?
I remember Kellys in Clane exporting there (they closed long before sanctions though); and also seeing Russian language label stock on the shelves when doing a tour of Rye River.
Unfortunately 12 Acres is no more.
Approx. a third (I think) of their product was exported to Russia. When sanctions kicked in after the Ukraine invasion the business was as good as doomed.
They tried to go part time for a period but it couldn't be turned around sadly.
The main man, Paddy, a thorough gent, is now employed in distilling, or at least was up to a few months ago.

Came across a video on Irish craft breweries and the first mentioned was 12 Acres. Haven’t seen them in an age. Presumably they are no more? Recall seeing them in Lidl, on occasion. Social media channels gone quiet.
Wicklow Wolf's Sugarloaf Juicy IPA was perfect for the warm weather.. very tasty!
Had it last night and it's a great beer, clearly a lot of hops used unlike what Lough Gill and Dot brew for Aldi which is fine but usually obviously brewed on a tight budget
