It is made by BYD aka Build Your Dreams. Hope it comes here and that they change the name before it does,
This could really challenge the Tesla Model 3.
It looks great inside and out
Thats a real pity and annoying, if its on the inside I doubt if its the suction cups when installing it as they would have been on the top of the glass roof.
Thanks for the tip Brian it is definitely coming off so must be residue from the sucker. All the better as I wasn't looking forward to doing battle with MSL, probably would have got nowhere anyway seeing as I didn't notice it straight away.
Nice result !
Did a coating with the Wolfgang deep gloss paint sealant this week.
Long winded ould process:
Bilt Hamber Touchless
Korrosol fallout remover
Tar remover
Wash down again
Rinse
Clay with the finest clay I had
Quick wash to get rid of the clay lube
Dry
Sealant, let sit for 45 mins
Buff
Only managed about 8 hours before the damp got to the car. No indoor area for the car. Is what it is.
When that goes it's Fusso coat next to see how that stacks up.
Waiting for the right time to do mine with the Wolfgang Sealant also have the Paintwork Polish enhance to prepare it for the sealant, they say ideally to let it cure for 12hrs after application with no exposure to moister, will wait for the next fine spell and can store in my son in laws garage overnight. Hows your looking after your efforts, my final item arrived today after the disappointment of the last in March. finally have my boot spoiler in carbon fibre, put it on this evening really pleased with it.
any of you find the aerial in the car for FM is really quite poor? High pressure can affect it too but it just seems to be more frequent than that.
quite a change in the curve from 50-67%
You must be delighted to have got your spoiler at last Audi20. Put up a pic I would like to have a look at it. The carbon must look very well on your white car
Yes I am finding FM reception useless as well, wonder if software uptate will improve it. That is quite a drop in the charging input all right, wonder why. What type of charger was it?
It's a well recognised issue alright. The latest update (not here yet) provides a new method to tune, but no idea if that helps/fixes/does nothing.
Yeah it wasn't ideal timing wise but I had the spare time for once so I had to just go for it. Next time I'll probably kick off at 8am or so, as it was I was only applying the sealant at 1pm.
Missed one step. I applied CarPro Eraser over every bit of paint and wiped down to make sure it was prepped as good as can be.
Looks great, real shine off it! Must get some pics if I get a chance.
Yes. The reception is the worse in any car available out there. Confirmed by most owners. Funnily enough, I didn’t notice it in the Atto.
ESB 200kW. Battery wouldn’t have been the warmest but still.
Thats very strange, would make more sense if it was over 80% but at 66% don't really understand it
Final piece added, boot spoiler fitted and very happy with the appearance.
I saw a blue Seal with WX reg in west Waterford today with the spoiler. It was the first thing I noticed on the car.
The Mrs thought the car looked "super sexy" which is the first major hurdle out of the way in my bid to get a Seal 😁
Saw that Car myself in Lismore, parked at the millennium park about 3pm.
Looks class, especially with the white car. I reckon it should have come like this from the factory, changes the whole appearance of the rear of the car for the better. I think it was a bit bland before.
Boards has eyes everywhere 😂
Glad to be of service. I'll have to start charging for spousal approval.
On the efficiency front the weather is playing it's part. I'm about 18kWh/100km and my overall for 5100km is 20.9 and steadily falling.
Definitely notice that the rise in temperature is helping all right mine is down to 18kwh/100 km as well
The 280km journey took 59% of a full battery, so about 475km from full. Beats the 400km I was getting in the miserable weather.
Haha it's a small world.
RWD or AWD?
AWD for both AFAIK. Certainly in my case.
Cheers. It may help future viewers to know as it could be either.
Our AWD gives a fairly consistent 25 percent battery for 100km driving. This would be bare minimum national roads and around 90 percent plus motorway. At over taking speeds... ...
Too early in summer to see if this has changed for us. Our mileage is fairly large portion motorways mostly open driving.
Sorry Gumbo yes mine is awd as well
6600 up in my AWD and average consumption 21.1Kwh/100k so looks similar (mixture motorway and country roads) Showing 17.5 for the last 50k which I would have expected to be about 21-22
I'm down to 20.8 now. Weather definitely helping as does the roads I'm on for the most part.
