It is made by BYD aka Build Your Dreams. Hope it comes here and that they change the name before it does,
This could really challenge the Tesla Model 3.
It looks great inside and out
Looks like 1.2 is wandering about in the wild. I'm on 1.12 myself.
How is it working for you in general, are you happy with it?
1.12 is what everyone here is on I think. Not sure what numbering system BYD are doing but semver it ain't.
Android app update available and it seems push notifications are finally working (for me anyway, on Pixel 8 pro)
So far the only difference in the app I can see is that it says 'close windows remotely' instead of 'up windows remotely'.
Push notifications still not working for me anyways.
Hi Guys
Just noticed a big scratch on the sunroof on the inside of the glass over the passenger, drivers side, about 6 cm long, quite deep on one end dont know how I didnt notice it before. Anyone any idea if it could be polished out?
Sorry forgot photo!
That's unusual any idea what from
Looks like a circular mark like you would get from the suction cups used on the glass during manufacture.
I have at least 4 of those circular marks on the windscreen. Only visible when it gets fogged up.
There's a few on the roof too but you'd have to go looking and they only appear at certain angle.
difference between a mark and a scratch tho! i have those circular marks on my etron when it fogs too but if thats a scratch it should be a warranty replacement.
Is it a scratch though? OP was asking if it could be polished out.
Now that I think of it I haven't noticed them since I did the Glaco Compound before applying Glaco Ultra. Perhaps that was enough to remove them fully.
Not even 17% all I get for the two hours is 13%. @ 10.47KW outside of that on the night rate is 17.85KW
I am wondering if it was from when the glass was being installed at the factory. It is defininitely a scratch and is quite deep on one end. You can feel it when you run your finger across it
When you say warranty replacement Cyrus do you mean they should be replacing the whole roof ?
May have hassle proving it was there upon delivery but I'd expect a replacement or buff that would leave it unnoticeable.
The only way to remove a deep scratch would be to replace the panoramic roof glass.
Rumor of reworked version being released in the far east in a month or two
( e.g. https://aseannow.com/topic/1310792-byd-seal-tips-tricks-and-help/?do=findComment&comment=18903426 )
Will be difficult to prove was there on delivery now after nearly 3 months all right, kicking mysef that I didnt spot it on collection
all you can do is try
Is everyone else software reading the same as this, mine is saying up to date?
Yes mine is the same as that. Have no update notification since I got the car 3 months ago. Hoping when one does come it will cure my lack of navigation audio!
My Seal AWD has that version of software, and navigation has audio, she keeps telling me “I am over the speed limit” in the most condescending tone 🙄 even when the speed sign recognition is off.
Why's that?
Definitely looks like sucker marks from when they dropped the roof glass in. What you think is a scratch may be residue. What i would suggest is to get a stanley blade (not knife, just blade) and hold the blade part totally flat on the glass, slowly rub the scratch/residue and see if this removes it. Do not lift the blade off the glass until you are finished…. If as you say it is a deep scratch then this will not be polished out and I would go back to MSL.
Push notifications worked for the first time after the update. Start Charing end charging notifications overnight. Xiaomi redmi phone
Same for my pixel 8 pro… it's taken them an awfully long time to get the basics right.
And nothing in the changelog either.
They'd want to seriously be introducing functionality soon.
Hello 2022!
Installed the sun visor today to see how it fits. Plus the sun is belting down here in SSE.
It's very clean nice fitment.
This is promising, wireless CarPlay was the main reason I was about to pull the trigger on the CarLinkit but may hold off. Hopefully we get it quickly / at some point here!
