Flicked on Morning Glory this morning and heard bloody Hall and Oats, thought I was on CH for a moment.
I wonder if this means we are getting closer to Nova play PJs beloved 'How can we be lovers' by Michael Bolton ?!?

I'll be honest, I can't even remember how Bad by U2 starts. Will have to check it out. Of all U2 songs, I would have thought Where the Streets Have No Name would be on that list.
Theres a lot to criticise about that list but if ALL those songs were on their regular playlist, it would be a better station.

Not quite. Bad by U2 was at No. 5 this time. Thunder by ACDC was the No. 1.

When I compare those two lists, there are a lot of similarities in the countdown. Many songs appeared in the exact same place in the countdown. Some did a swap with each other! One of the more curious differences was The Rolling Stones' Paint it Black replaced with ACDC's Back in Black!
I had nova on for a few minutes while that was on.
They had some "Howya" on asking him what he thought the best ever guitar intro was.
"Ah heyor listen to me, oi tink de best guitar intro ever has to be, well de best one oi can tink of in anyways, has to be de one n only tin lizzy, whiskey in de jar "
Seriously can they not come uo with better music, instead of going for the safe option every time.

not the worst list they’ve put together. I agree that bad is an odd choice, as is having bat out of hell so high, wouldn’t really call it much of a guitar into. Anyway, it’s a nice break from the kodaline and Coldplay
As I was saying, it is very similar to 2022's list, even down to the chart placings. I think the guitar riff for Bad by U2 is pretty memorable, and it is one of their songs that does not get as much play on Nova.
....although "Adventure of a Lifetime" did make the list.

Had nova on in the car today and they had their “this is nova …. Black Betty clip …. This isn’t …. Spice girls clip … get the picture? Seriously addictive music” advert on.

I haven't listened much since, but stuck it on this evening to avoid all the sport and tbf there are some interesting choices now on The Nova Guestlist. First time ever hearing them play the Pumpkins (Cherub Rock) - finally! Just because of the upcoming gig, so probably never play them again though.
The guest list is by a country mile, the best thing on nova.
I assume they have to fulfill the quota of 'Irish' artists.
Hearing Supersoaker by Kings of Leon on Nova now. If they played this more than the God awful Fans I would be happy. Actually, if it was the only song from that band played it would be grand.
Is it me or are Nova going overboard with playing Queen? Flicking through stations in the car and about 4 or 5 times this week, Queen was playing. Today it was 'we have Queen coming up for you next'.
They are playing some god awful shyte lately.
