Bikes will be much higher up but at least the lights work now on the bike rack, never did on leaf
Bike tow bar 1,300 lids, fitted
In passing, is it possible to measure individual journey distances: the leaf has trip A, trip B
One of the front USB charge point is no longer working, the passenger side one.
Any thoughts
How do you replace the battery in the remote?
Thanks
Very easily. Take out key and turn sideways in slot. Only reason I know is because I changed twice before I realised that wasn’t the problem 😗
...
Thanks!
So after an update only the driver door opens, this was they way it came new but I can't find it in the settings as to how to change it and the online manual has been trying to download for months
Thanks as always
Is that the one where you need to double tap the unlock button to get all the doors unlocked?
If so, I think the setting is in Vehicle -> Central Locking -> Smart Unlock
Yep, thats the one, will try it,
{down here double tap has a different meaning!]
We have lost one of the keys/remotes for the mo-mo.
Any insights on getting a replacement, cost and timing?
Got the answer, its about 450 euro for supply of key and fob and program
today, could I have got beyond 4?
This is crap. When I had my ID.3 I was dreading to loose the keys but i thought it was closer to €300 to get a replacement. A while ago I managed to "misplace" both of key cards from MY. It cost me €40 to buy 2x cards and €8+VAT to get them coded at tesla service centre. Cards are not keys but €450 is still a massive rip off.
My PCP is ending in 10 months, I had intended keeping it but all the software issues have driven me demented and now this
What was the problem?
I have the same on one of my keys, changed batteries but still doesn't work
It was a car software problem when car was new. Garage did an update and key fob was fine after that. Over 3 years ago now, so don't remember the full details. I do remember the cheaply made key fob, all the internal bits went flying and had trouble getting it all back together again. Had to open the other one to see where the spring attached...🙂
I had that issue before, if I remember the solution was to place the key fob in one of the cup holders (theres's a symbol/ icon printed in one of them) and then press the car start button a few times to fix the pairing. It might be described in the on screen manual.
Cold snap killing range for short runs, as MadLad highlighted years ago: 50 kms of range for 18 kms of drive at <=70-80 kmh
Pretty normal in - temps. Pre heating the cabin while plugged in should help quite a bit.
I agree but since the last time it was in the garage/ or and software update
phone app not working
auto dim not working
bendy lights not working
online access to manual
The work around is a bag of pellets in the drivers seat to make it stay on
OH driving it a bit thees days and comments that the brakes seem to be " more aggressive" especially when you are nearly stopped.
Took if for a spin and I agree, especially in D mode.
Any thoughts?
66k kms so maybe new pads?
Pads should last much longer than that on an EV. I actually found the braking very weak on both my ID.3 and current ID.4 in D mode. That's partly why I use B mode for 99% of my driving.
I agree on all points and I use B most of the time.. however this is a new sensation
I have 86k kms on a Leaf, same pads
Would welcome any insights on the following?
So coming up to the end of the 3 year PCP in October , with 17k due as the bullet payment.
Car has 72,000 kms on the clock now so say 80k in October.
Called the garage
1: 60 k limit so 8 cents a km above that : 1,600
2: VW Ireland "own the car" and they will ask my garage do they want it and the garage might offer me say 13,000
3: If I accept, am in for 17-13 + 1.6= 5.6
4: If garage says no interest VWI will auction car and it it makes 12, I am in for 17-12 + 1.6= 6.6
Garage advice: keep it or sell it privately
I’m not sure I understand your post is this for trade in? you can give the car back and just pay the 1600 and start afresh.
My understanding of the deal is as above, not as simple as pay the 1,600 and walk home
well it is. You hand the car back and pay the penalty for mileage. The garage don’t want you to do that of course
well I will ask again
check out the CCPC website. https://www.ccpc.ie/consumers/money/loans/paying-for-your-car/pcp/
Much obliged, will talk to them again!
I suppose the question then becomes will the dealer negotiate on the eur 17k GMFV - given the state of the 2nd hand market?
