Could be abandoned because of a mechanical failure. If I remember rightly Soviet doctrine had follow-up troops sorting issues that Western troops would be capable of repairing within their unit. Perhaps the Russians still play it this way? I doubt their repair shops are as capable as they are on paper.
Am experiencing serious cognitive dissonance having to Re-calibrate my opinion of David Cameron to a more positive direction.
Lately I read Putin’s People by Catherine Belton and The Showman by Simon Shuater, which is about Zelensky.
Two very informative books, the Putin one is a bit of work, but it does show that he is essentially a mafia type figure who made it in politics. It also surprised me to learn how long Trump has had associations with Russia.
The Showman is a really great read, Zelenskyy clearly has his flaws, but has been the ideal man for the time he was in power.

As in:- Caesar, we who are about to die, praise you!! Hail Caesar!!!
Pretty much the same thing if you substitute Putin for Caesar.
Horrific loses on both sides. A very sad situation.
Will be resolved when one side goes home. We both long for that day.
More black smoke
Very sad for Ukraine. Russia can simply turn around at any time and end all this in an instant.
Absolutely. Terrible to see such a loss of young lives.
Thought this was interesting while we can be complacent on the far side of Europe, countries next to Mordor are not
It's hard to know if The Motivator will himself be leading the charge or if he'll be at the rear mowing down the ones who try to turn back.
What an absolutely ghastly country.
It's time for them to realise the enemy is the cowardly street urchin in the kremlin and turn the guns the other way. But that will not have been what happened.
Yes, it's beyond terrible but it can all be blamed on one mans the crazy dream of restoring the USSRR, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, and him alone!
Putinistas will then claim that only Russians live in the occupied areas
Indeed. Annex or invade territories. Hold fake elections. Force locals to be Russian. Destroy local language and culture. Force children in occupied territories to speak only Russian and learn only alternative history. Move Russians in with the lure of cheap property. And this from a country with the largest land mass on earth.
It's pure and utterly spite driven conquest.
86 sq km since end of March
477 years to go
Interesting, thanks.
I've been listening to the Putin interviews with Oliver Stone on audible, which I would certainly recommend. He touches on some of the earlier aspects of the conflict as well as Georgia and many other topics.
Another one I would recommend is 'How the west brought war to Ukraine' by Benjamin Abelow. It's quite a short concise book, but well written and informative. The author has had an interesting and varied career, including lobbying US congress on nuclear arms policy and writing about the psychology of war trauma. https://benjaminabelow.com/
You must have been deeply reaching to find this fellow. Nonetheless, what he has written has already been deeply discredited by the few people who read the book that don't want hundreds of thousands of russians dying in an operation they have already lost but are keeping going because they're too afraid of putin (even if that means reducing even further their economy and military to a bare husk).
I mean, TLDR is that NATO has never attacked russia, countries continue to sign up to NATO and every time russia peeps at a NATO country they apologise and run away with their tail between their legs while attempting to bully other non-NATO countries.
Belarus had land in Krasnaya Polyana near Sochi in Russia. Seems it's been sold to a russian developer company unbeknowst to the Belarussian people for Alexander Lukashenko to build another secret palace.
It's all playing out like the Maidan 10 years ago in Tblisi currently:
Time to get out the Molotovs.

One more
Georgia wants to enact a law that foreign governments must disclose they are operating in their country, the same law exist in the USA, but this is bad when Georgia wants the same? 😂🤣😂🤣
Dastardly KGB wants the people of Georgia to have the same level of protection for outside interference that the citizens of the USA have. You live in 🤡 world if you think this is bad for Georgia, US does not want it so they can interfere in the country easier.
Does Orwell Road only have internet access on Saturdays? I think they could get broadband on billpay if they ask the Kremlin for additional funding.
Russians bombed themselves again
"Why would Russia stop now?"
Because it is chewing through its military and economic resources at an unsustainable rate to make tiny territorial gains and making its neighbours hate them for generations because of all the lives they are destroying.
Hey orc lover,
Does the average person swallow the information they are repeatedly told and hear on the news
"Russia are running out of missiles "
"Russia are running out of ammonition "
Russia are running out of money due to sanctions"
"Russia are using shovels because they have run out of ammonition "
"Russia are running out of computer chips and are taking them from washing machines"

I'm 100% sure they're out of ammonition
