This is far from the first time this has happened. A mind-boggling level of carelessness.
It was an impressive strike. Amazing that Ukraine had a surveillance drone undetected that far behind the frontline.
More good news
I'm curious about this. When the camera zoomed out it looks as if there's nothing else near that vehicle for miles yet it was sitting there stationary…. I'm presuming this would fly in the face of conventional military doctrine? @Manic Moran perhaps you could enlighten us here?
and it will get worse for them as the available cash fund dwindles. The next 6 mths will be critical, especially when the effects of the new armament's make themselves felt.
The pressure is coming now for Putin because he needs to show results this year for the horrendous costs he has inflicted. He really cannot continue this for years, that is a lie propagated by russian propaganda in order to convince ukraine allies that ukraine is a lost cause because russia cannot be defeated. That is why they are desperately trying to take territory and break through Ukrainian lines because time actually is limited for Putin. Reports of russia using Cs gas shows their desperation , it hasn't received widespread publicity yet but that is not the actions of a supremely confident adversary, they are tactics last used in the Iran Iraq war , I doubt Putin wants to be compared with either of those
I said it earlier but the whole “Russia is in for long run and Putin is a 42D chess strategic long term thinker” meme
Is laughable when one looks at how they went about this war from the start, example; falling out the gate on their asses, leaving half their assets stranded in Europe, or proclaiming and losing an economic war on Europe
and for that matter how they are going about this war now and just how large Ukraine is.
And on top of the thousands of Tajiks leaving voluntarily or being deported, here's the figures for the nrs of disabled in 2023. If you thought you had a population / workforce problem Vlada, its about to get immeasurably worse.
I imagine a portion of them will be pretending to have a disability so they won't get thrown into the meat grinder.
Although in Russia having a disability may not preclude you from being thrown into the back of a van.
I was thinking the same thing. Wondering if a number of those are actually people pulling a “Section 8” to avoid service. That’s assuming they even have something like a Section 8 Discharge…my guess is that the current Russian army don’t care enough if their cannon fodder is mentally fit or not.
More of the same.
That's a curious development…
Can't post links, but the BBC is reporting 'Call me Dave' has sanctioned the use of British weapons INSIDE Russia.
The fear of Putin is dissipating more and more each day.
Yes indeed it looks like ol Davey is saying using [UK] weapons to hit inside Russia is now OK. France and the UK seem to be stepping up, likely they now smell Putins blood.
I noticed that comment by Cameron alright and Macron's rhetoric. And the reported hit on the Russian training ground with ATACM. Bit of a change of tone backed up by events.
More warnings about what will happen anyone connected to the destruction of the Kerch bridge…
UK are also committing to spending 3bn pounds a year until war is over, doesn’t sound like much but that’s about what Ukraine spent per year between 2014 and 2022 on military spend, so not pocket change
Edit:
Now we just need Van Der Lein to stop dragging her feet and give the 300bn that was seized in Belgium to Ukraine
Unfortunately that ATACMS strike was still within Ukraines international borders in Luhansk.
When LLoyd Austin was asked whether or not Ukraine would be allowed strike Russian soil proper with ATACMS he said something along the lines of "It's up to Ukraine what they ultimately choose as a target" with a smirk on his face I might add. However that's not a yes. So either he's being coy so as to provide plausible deniability against Russia claiming that the US are now in the fight or the US is not taking ATACMS off the leash. I'd lean towards the latter but I suppose it's possible.
Equally I think the more likely scenario with Cameron's statement is that "Yes they're allowed" but with a huge asterisk over systems that are actually capable of hitting Russia proper. Like Stormshadow.
But I guess it is possible that behind the scenes Ukraine has managed to convince the western powers that if they actually have any chance of winning they really need to be able to target Russian logistics and command beyond their own country. It's extremely inefficient shooting down every missile and drone Russia throws out. Both in terms of effectiveness and economically. Those patriot missiles(and others), while still needed, are eating up large parts of the limited resources that are being donated to Ukraine. Far more effective is simply attacking where Russia is firing them from or constructing/storing them.
And it would be lovely if not a completely overdue change of policy were they allowed do this.
But i'm unconvinced. And i'll remain so until I actually see a stormshadow or ATACMS crossing the border.
F16s will be useful in shooting down the bombers releasing those glide bombs. Perhaps launching a few of their own in return?
Seen article bout that
While being on the receiving end of it has left many with unforgettable memories, actually in some cases, lifelong memories!
If Russia are to launch a large scale attack on Kharkiv then Ukraine will need the ability to hit Russian units, artillery and logistics within Russia.

Embassy Gatecrasher found not guilty of dangerous driving.
Yes, but Putin has designed a latticework of protective layers around him, and the health of these layers is directly linked to the health and wellbeing of Putin.
And I think the USA said something similar with longer range missiles? About time, this cannot hit the country that is attacking you is just nuts, always was
"UK Foreign Secretary Lord Cameron has said it is up to Ukraine to decide how to use British weapons and insisted it has the right to strike targets on Russian territory. Good!"
She is a walking advertising for why people shouldn’t consume massive quantities of vodka
Flowers will be brought to your headstones. Great.
Both herself and Medvedev make a fine advertisement for Vodka manufacturers!
In fairness it's better than saying you'll most likely be burnt alive in excruciating agony.
I think your man watched Gladiator and the death speech by Russel Crowe and then just got his flat as a Russian run over by a tank.
Or Toilet Duck.
Body parts scattered across Ukraine more likely. Headstones very unlikely.
Jeez, in the grim darkness of mother Russia, there is only war.
