Caoimhin Reilly was taken off at half time against Louth when he was doing decent. Then came on and taken off the following week against Meath . He wasn't great when he came on, but that probably knocked his confidence for remainder of the league.
Anyone hear anything about Paddy Lynch? Meant to be injured long term.
I'm hearing the same thing from a few people, unfortunately.
The Celt have confirmed the news. This is a massive blow

Ah bollocks. Horrendous injury for Paddy but long term it may not be a bad thing for the team as a whole. Others will now need to step up to the plate.
Hopefully he gets back as soon as possible. Massive blow for the Lough for the senior championship too.
I heard Maghera were having crisis talks this week. Rumors about now that the senior team has disbanded. Anyone hear anything?
Lynch was the type of inside forward Cavan inside lacked for a long time. During Terry Hylands reign Martin Dunne was inside but wasn't able to win his own ball ,unless Keating was laying it off. Hopefully he makes a full recovery.
Best wishes to Paddy on his recovery. Devastating blow for Cavan.
That is a real blow for us.. Speedy recovery to paddy he must be devastated
Desperate news for the poor lad and the team, I’m sure Ciaran Brady will be a big help and support to him during his recovery.
Sam Maguire Cup draw Seeds 1/2: Kerry, Clare, Galway, Mayo, Armagh, Donegal, Dublin, Louth Seeds 3: Derry, Tyrone, Roscommon, Monaghan Seeds 4: Cavan, Cork, Meath, Westmeath
Avoid Kerry, Dublin and Derry and we'd have a chance at a quarter final spot. (A big ask now though without Paddy) I'm absolutely devastated over that. He was playing some stuff. Like Holla, he'll be back.
we need Oisin Brady and cormac Reilly to step up big time now and James smith.
Darragh Lovett will probaly be brought in but still a big step up to Senior level. Ruari Canavan was an excellent U20 player but still finding his way at Senior level.
James is not a forward. He’s a midfielder. If he was just left by the county team to play his actual role, he’d be playing better.
When is Dara mc veety due back?
For the club championship. I was told he wouldn’t play intercounty again this year.
Galway
Louth
Roscommon would be the best group for us
So we'll probably get
Dublin
Armagh
Derry
I would love to get Monaghan again!
I know he isn’t a forward I didn’t say he was, I said he needs to step up now because he is not playing to his potential. If he does play to his potential which is a high ceiling it will go someways to negate the loss of paddy, and that’s even they play him as a target man at full forward.
Would rather not. They are not great, but they wouldn't be as flat again. Lynch kicked 1-9 against Monaghan
rather stay away from as many Ulster teams as possible.
Will be fairly difficult as Ulster has 7 of the 16 teams.
That draw is ok for us, apart from Dublin. Look to beat Roscommon and see what Connacht runner up we have, possibly Galway. The Connacht teams might want to lose the final seeing the group the winner gets!
Roscommon have better firepower then Monaghan . Galway have had a lot of injuries, but will probaly have a few back for the All Ireland Series. Though not a banker Mayo will win Connacht.
If nothing else this will really let us see where we are at as a group. Wouldn't mind Dublin at home, Roscommon at a neutral Venue and Galway away, the Mrs might even a fancy a weekend in Galway.
Getting the Dubs into Breffni on the bank holiday weekend in June will be great. It's definitely where any of the players on the panel and us supporters want to be seeing us compete, hopefully we can.
Looking forward to the games but let's be realistic, we will be big outsiders in all our games and perhaps marginal outsiders against Roscommon. Hopefully we can pick up a few points and get to the knockouts.
Who's going to replace Lynch and take the frees? Need to unearth a FF.
Oisin Brady was on frees last year but I'm afraid we don't have anyone who can kick frees from 45m with 90% plus success rate. At least none that I can think off.
