Waterford Co. council are notorious for this. They have bought property (with land) in townslands like Russelstown, Kilgainey/coleville road etc.
Residents there were unaware that the council had purchased these properties. 'Ethnic' clans were given these properties. The council fulfills it's duty but doesn't bring the inevitable trouble and criminality onto Waterford towns. It's now Clonmel's problem.

Are you saying that Waterford Council bought this latest place on the Coleville Road.? Someone said a house with 10 to 15 acres. Anyone know when it was bought.

I know of no such place. Fieldmaster are now up in Gurtnafleur near the racecourse, who I have used to print insurance certs in the past
As above Fieldmaster are in Gurtnafleur. Options for printing in town include Clonmel Office Centre on Market St and the Tipp Echo office which is on Mitchell Street.

The old dowlings printing shop in Parnell street seems to be getting done up, does anyone know if anything is going in there? Parnell street is probably the only street in town doing well come to think, Clintons withstanding of course which has recently closed.

I actually heard it was some lad had a knife in the "3" store. Don't know whats right or wrong, but there was definitely something going on, the was a lad handcuff being put into a paddy wagon at the end of the lane beside Fetch coffee there a while ago.

Clonmel’s Hearn’s Hotel Under Consideration To Accommodate Asylum Seekers

The Minister for Integration Roderick O’Gorman yesterday confirmed that Hearn’s Hotel in Clonmel is under consideration for use as an Accommodation centre for International Protection Applicants. The Minster released the information in a reply to a Parliamentary Question submitted by Deputy Mattie McGrath on April 13th.
The Minister highlights that the Department is providing accommodation to 29,000 people who have sought asylum in Ireland since 2022. Minister O’Gorman adds that over 200 properties are being used to provide this accommodation across the country.
The response clarifies that the IPAS received an offer of the Clonmel facility for accommodation of asylum seekers and that a full assessment is currently underway as to it’s suitability. If a contract can be agreed, then Hearn’s Hotel will be used to accommodate Asylum seekers according to Minister O’Gorman. The Government is also to build 82 modular units in Ballingarrane, Clonmel to provide accommodation for refugees from Ukraine.

Seen the guards have taken some of the travelers horses from the people and they’ve started fencing off part of the field where those modular units are to go, let the sh!tshow commence.
Have they taken them ( this is implying they were confiscated) or relocate them elsewhere, maybe to some of the other land that the travelers own
