I think if you were a customer looking for a 2021 ID3 from a VW dealer then getting a 1yr extended warranty should give you extra confidence in completing a deal
Just noticed this.
What the actual F???
On the other side that spot is a small black cap like the one below it.
it’s for removing the door handle, nothing to worry about, just missing a small rubber cover.
What are we looking at here?
Surely it should be flush? Not going in at an angle like that?
Compare side by side. The rubber cover on the left door is smaller than the screw on the right so it's not just the same screw but missing the cover.
Im gonna guess the door handle was replaced and the monkey slapped in whatever boot came to hand.
Makes sense, except I've never had a door handle replaced!
My guess is because the ID was mainly assembled by humans that there is a higher chance that the wrong part was used. Probably doesn't make any difference..
I just looked, the doors ain't symmetrical side to side ,drivers door does indeed have big stupid bolt which ain't in square but should have a big rubber cover on it
no the angle is correct, I’ve removed these off multiple VAG group vehicles and all the same, and drivers side is different as it has the lock barrel in it. It is 100% like that from factory, a lot of VAG vehicles have a rubber cover that goes over the bolt for aesthetic purposes, I would assume your car is missing that but can’t say for certain as I haven’t worked an ID.
Happy to see I'm still getting 370-380km from a full charge on the good weeks!
My ID3 is coming up on 90,000km and haven't noticed any real battery degradation.
Have you always charged to 100%?
Mostly yeah, usually in work on a 7kw charger
Back to winter range the last few days here, temps in single figures and now lashing 🌧️
Received the interior trim covers from torque alliance/pluggear today. Very quick!
Matte black. Nice feel to them.
They look lovely.
Not far wrong...
€19,793. What a load of balls!
So about 50% after 3 years?
€43k list price at the time so 54% drop. I paid €41k though.
Didn't someone in here sell a Tour privately recently for €26k?
Great value out there now for anyone looking to buy an EV. Especially buying privately. Not so great for anyone wanting to trade in though.
It seems like reasonable depreciation to me after 3 years. What did you pay new?
Matte trims fitted. Very easy to do and improve the look instantly.
41. I don't think it's too bad either.
Mine arrived today too. Much prefer the look too. While the gloss did clean easily, it shouldn’t have looked as bad as it did after a week with little use. I went for the matte carbon fibre in the end. Looks well but also very 90s/00s. They do leave a more obvious edge that you can feel on the door handle when you go to close it but still worth it.
Yeah, they could have been a little bit softer on the edges but look much cleaner.
125bhp version coming and the battery sizes of the next facelift going up to 60 and 80kWh.
I suspect the 125bhp version will have a 50 to 52kWh battery that is found in the ID.4 or similar.
gear selector will change to a stalk.
screen gets bigger and software is improving all the time.
my source for battery sizes is insurance type classes on dieversicherer.de.
How are you finding selling an EV privately currently?
Watt? Sorry I couldn't resist 😆… Gets coat....
had two serious enquiries. Not too worried about it. We don’t need to sell it. Have high gfmv so can hand it back with mileage penalty if needed.
On the Cubra Born thread, 28.04 post, user dunnerc, who-has a 2022 Born, got offered 19k trade in against a 2024 new ID3 from a VW main dealer, Could be a deliberate low ball price,as non VW, but still.
