Who fancies putting in a bid on the most expensive gaf in the world (currently)?

I'll put a bid in. Doubt they'll accept it.
It's got 'Saudi Royal Family' written all over it as next owner.
youd be amazed at how little 2.5m gets you in the general vicinity in terms of privacy 🤣
Dont like it 😐
the layout of the buildings is about as well thought out as my houses in The Sims.
Would be like living in a large five star hotel with nobody else there. Billionaire version of The Shining
You’d have no bother getting your daily 10,000 steps without ever putting your nose outside the door.
I’d say the 2,500 acres on the outskirts of Paris has more to do with the price than the actual house.
Can you imagine if the sitting room was at 1 end and your bedroom the other end.
I'd say FC uk it and sleep on the couch.
A million quid to live in a two bed soulless bungalow that backs onto the Russian Embassy compound?
Net, spaseeba…
That looks grim. For the price they are looking for, they could have at least tidied up the planting to make it look a bit attractive!
The unplastered walls are probably some highly paid architects idea of class or they ran out of money 😂.
The finish inside is bleak also but clean. There is not much point to that glass sunroom area when there is no garden. The long narrow space isnt that practical - Im not sure what anyone could do with it.
On Streetview I can't figure out how you get to it, it looks like it is on the grounds of the embassy. Not sure I'd enjoy the protests against Putin up the road either. It's not bad inside, bedrooms are a bit small. I'd have preferred a bigger bedroom to an inner courtyard.
I think that was posted here before, it obviously didn't sell.
Purchased for €775,330 in 2022 - they're looking for a big jump in 2 years.
Advertised at €1.3m per the IT in 2019

We viewed the 4-bed in the development in late 2021/early 2022 - it ended up going for around €1.1m
Entrance is off Eaton Brae road - the development is crammed into what was once the garden of the old house - which is now apartments.

The link didn’t work it seems and I can’t find the specific post I intended to quote.
It was a house in Dublin that was valued at €8m 15 years ago and just sold for €1.15m.
It was, I remember the picture over the fireplace (photo 7) - In fact, I'd only just, with the help of much therapy and sitting quietly in darkened rooms, forgotten that picture in photo 7!
That's been up here before. The price was dropped as well.
Need to add the vat to that, it was a new build so 880k
Good spot - has missed that.
Still looking for an extra 120k - or 13.5%, in less than two years.
Just spotted on the ad -
PPR states they bought it in July 2022 - didn't take them long to decide they wanted out.
again depends on how it was fitted out when they bought but you could easily sink 50-75k in a new build on flooring, repainting, window dressings etc etc (not saying they did here but) and thats before you get to landscaping etc.
No.10 was the showhouse - so it was already pretty much kitted out at the price they purchased it for.
You know those memes with Pablo Escobar sitting and standing around just looking into the distance?
Well here is Pablo's sofa for staring into the distance.
I suppose you could paint the wall and watch the paint dry.
This is stunning IMO. Michael Scott designed from 1932, totally space age back then. Some really lovely details. I love the open space feeling. Kitchen very unusual and a more expensive counter top you will not find.
Stairs is lovely, as is the detail in Pic 26, where your head is hidden from the door, giving you a more 'cocooned' feeling.

Looks very dated to me. The stairs must be very well hidden in pic 26. All I can see is two single beds with fifty year old bedspreads.
Nothing special about that house. I'd say it was over priced but it's all about location and all houses out there are expensive but honestly if I had that money to spend it would not be spent on that house that's for sure.
Great find! I love places like this. Not to be a downer but I think of the houses my grandparents lived in in 1929 and somewhere like this existed a few hours away on the same Island. 🤯
The views are amazing across Dublin bay.
I actually think it's a fair price for the house, though it does need updating.
I'm surprised there wasn't an avocado or pink bathroom 😂
The downside is there's not a huge amount of public transport, you'd be relying on whatever the 31 bus is now and hitting a massive bottleneck in Sutton Cross. Then there's talk about the Dart line terminating at Howth junction so driving to Sutton dart station and finding parking may not be a long term plan.
I love the exterior and the view, not a fan of the interior. It has been incredibly well looked after though.
How can you say it is nothing special? There are very few art deco properties in Ireland and few of them kept original feature. The room are pretty large and the layout is fantastic with curved rooms. Original art deco balcony railing and a spiral stairs to the roof. That makes it very special without even going into the views and location.
Wouldn't float my boat either, the bedroom with the spiral stairs is lovely, as is the sea view
but very little else appeals to me.
